NOTE: All images and screenshots are part of the public press kit available at the Steam Store page.

This is a great game for kids and adults alike. Kerbal Space Program (KSP) is a game about managing the Space Programme of the afore mentioned Kerbals (the cute little green guys). The game features realistic physics and an economic simulator, and your exploration of the physics (and construction) of rockets and space dynamics will be marked with spectacular (and funny) disasters and grand successes! Who said that the exploration of space couldn't be educational and hilariously funny!

Launch (haha) trailer

As a side note, the game itself has been used as educational material for kids to introduce them to the concepts of physics and mechanics. Although, I would have to say, it is also pretty fun for adults too!

If you are interested in winning this game, drop a comment and let me know why you would like it. Or just have a chat about anything! The winner I will be picking based on the conversations I have!

COMPETITION RULES

  1. Prize is a Steam key via Humble Bundle gift link.
  2. Entry is by comment (upvote is not mandatory but helps me out, resteem is not necessary, but highly appreciated!), have a chat about why you want this game out just about anything!
  3. Winner is at my discretion (at post payout).

Woohoo! Thanks heaps! I am on discord. I use stabilowl as my username you can find me there!

Congratulations. I haven't found the time yet to play the one I won the week before yet, but am sure I will when I get there

Great, I will message you there.

Another superb game up for grabs. I highly advise anyone that hasn't played it to enter. If you have any interest in space stuff, this is excellent (but you also probably have it already too...)

I'm not entering, as I have the game, but I have upvoted and resteemed to help out

Thanks heaps for the support! It's definitely also a great one if you have kids.

ohhhhhhhhhhh! i want it!!! :)

Why?

Because I'm trying to design my own game - and I always am looking to compare my current ideas to what is out there and always wanting to improve! :)

and... because i love games

and... because I like connecting myself with other gamers so that I can bounce ideas off of them! hehehe

Side note - you're in an orchestra... now going to look through your blog to see if I can spy any videos of you playing! :)

What game are you designing?

Ha my question as well!

What me are you designing? A computer game or a board game?

Side note: casual online stalking?

oh sorry - i missed both of your questions @stabilowl and @bengy!!!

side note: yessssssssss its not stalking if it involves music. its a rule somewhere. i can't find it right now but - i'm sure that it exists because that's just a ridiculous thing for me to make up on the spot. i think

and game. hmmmm how to describe it! i've tried to come up with a 3 minute elevator pitch.

So far I've trimmed it down to a 28 minute explanation.

so.... hm do either of you have 28 minutes to spare???? ;)

oh but i can answer that - COMPUTER game!

I've got about 25 minutes! I'm pretty curious, what sort of genre and mechanics? Please don't tell me if it's a bad joke Simulator... Although, there is a game revolving around throwing witty put downs at your opponents.

honestly??? ok - i can go to discord -i'll find you there

Well, that was a lengthy and wide ranging conversation! But a great and interesting idea for a game. Best of luck with trying to bring it to fruition!

it was!!! LOL and.... it was well past your bedtime - hahaha so thanks for your graciousness :)

thank you for the well wishes!!! not sure how to do it - but i DID dream about it last night. and that's always a good sign to see that my mind is working around the clock hehehehe

Hey I am interested too! What's your discord name? Mine is just the same as my steemit name. Please send me a message when you have time

hahaha i'm not sure why i'm not getting your notifications!!!!!

well - you'll have to ask @bengy if it was worth making his ears bleed LOLOL

it REALLY DID take a while to explain LOL

The reason I am asking is we are launching a gaming site soon based on steemit, and we would be interested to hear from html5 game developers who are interested in uploading their game at launch. So if your game is a html5 game we would like to talk to you. Even if not, it would be good to chat as we are hoping to put in functionalities for other types of games soon.

Congratulations, I've picked you for the Steam key win! Details on claiming are here:

I haven't killed any Kerbals for ages. It used to be my fave drunken pass time.

It's addictive, sometimes you end up staying up to 4am trying to land spaceships on the moon or trying to solve other problems.

Lol, I don't think you are supposed to be doing it on purpose! But it is hilariously funny!

Yes, but it is a great game of learning better solutions through disastrous experimentations.

Are you also someone who tortures Sims with no bathrooms?

I didn't really kill them on purpose, I just had a knack for it especially when I first started. I did kill a few for fun though.

I never played Sims but that torture method sounds like fun.

Ha ha! Yes, rooms with no exits. Rooms with no toilets....

I think a couple of explosive disasters in Kerbal is pretty much part for the course! But they are so cute, even when they blow up!

Hey the key works perfectly thank you!

As for this week's comp - Kirby Space Program.
I love space! I love space since I was a kid. I wanted to be an astronomer (not astronaut) because I like stars. Although I didn't become an astronomer, I still loves star gazing and take photos of stars. And of course playing space games. I wanted to design a space related civilisation like card game.. but that was kind of stuck at the beginning stage. The two space exploration games that I remember playing is Spore and Stellaris. So may be Kirby Space Program can be my third one?

No problem, I hope you enjoy your introduction to Tomb Raider! It is a really beautifully designed masterwork.

How did you find Spore, I remember being interested in it at the launch, but never ended up getting it. Maybe the next steam sale...

Spore is like multiple games packed into one. The first part when you evolve as a single cell organism is like a mini puzzle game, then when you moved onto land it becomes a survival game, passing that, it's like a civilisation strategy game where you build up your economy and war with other tribes, finally the space age is when it is like a space exploration game with space battles. So yeah I think it's a great game, heaps of fun!

I can't remember what turned me off buying it at launch. But these days it should be pretty cheap, so I really should pick it up now...

But the backlog of games.... It's a wall of shame...
