Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 11

This is going to be one of our longer and more complicated posts, there's a lot going on that I think deserves a mention! I want to start off by thanking yeszuzia so very much for the awesome new artwork of the judges! I love it!
The new artwork makes me happy and it's awesome to see she got a nice and generous upvote from a whale for her art as well! :)
The next thing is.. I have been working with some people at #newbieresteemday and #newbiegames and we having been figuring out ways to make the game appeal to more people and work better and we should have another newer revised set of rules coming up soon!
Also, I want to celebrate one of our contestants, and add a sort of "bonus round" on top of the actual round itself which has numerous different aspects to it this time.
The contestant I want to celebrate is @bashadow who I feel like has been one of the most important people to help get the IFC started. He was right there at the beginning, as one of the first people to enter in the rounds and sort of "show others" how it's done and also help show that it's fun. He had the courage to step up and play when it was brand new, and he helped give others the understanding of how to also join in. :)
Because of this I want a special round centered around the subject of dance in celebration of bashadow, and I am awarding him a new artifact called the "Magic Dancing Shoes".
By the way.. I'm assuming bashadow is a "he" cause to be straight forward I don't know the gender, please correct me if you are female and if you want your gender known.
Just as a clarification in regards to artifacts that I didn't make before is that you only get their use for 5 rounds, whether you play in those rounds or not. I don't want people to be "holding" artifacts too long cause they aren't playing enough.
After 5 rounds go by, there will be an opportunity for someone else to get the artifact for 5 rounds and so on so forth.
The bonus round will be focused on the subject of "dance" any kind of artwork or subject matter relate to dance will be considered, and this will be a separate challenge than round 11.
If you want to enter the bonus round, just make a separate blog post and put "bonus round" in your blog post title instead of "round 11", and any information or artwork related to the subject of dance will work.
The reason I decided to create this artifact and bestow it upon bashadow is because I was reminded of this video I will link below, it's about how to start a movement and it explains how the first couple people who join are some of the most important.
Cause without them.. You'd just be dancing by yourself. Though now thanks to bashadow and others, we have a bunch of people dancing and hopefully someday even more! :D If we ever do get more popular, bashadow was a MAJOR part of that. Thank you bashadow. :) I really appreciate your participation in the game and your kind and friendly nature in general.
Oh and.. The Magic Dancing Shoes will allow you to get information about upcoming challenges in advance which will allow you more time to plan your specific entry, however in order to be notified of what future challenges will be based on you must use our discord channel so I can private message you the information.
Moving on.. This digital castle and community is really starting to come together now! I'm kind of surprised just how much of a life and a spirit of it's own this whole idea has taken. The way things have lined up here, I couldn't have asked for much better.
This whole concept and community has a really special feel to it. It's hard to describe or put words to.. But.. Feels like there's something really unique here and it's a pleasure to do all of this with you all. :)
This next challenge is multifaceted and you can pick whichever different subject you prefer, or you could try numerous of them or even all three different options.. I've been thinking of the best ways to help our community which is quickly growing up around this competition.. And.. I've come up with a list of three things I think we need help with the most right now.
#1 figure out how to make level system work better and more like an RPG. Right now it's essentially cosmetic and levels don't mean much.
#2 best idea for an artifact, we only have two artifacts so far, one of which is a sort of treasure chest that awards my full powered upvote 5 times and the other one is the Magic Dancing Shoes mentioned above.. We need more artifact ideas!
#3 best artwork for the competition! We only have a couple pictures right now, one of the castle and one of the judges.. We need more artwork to respresent the competition! This does not have to be a drawing or painting and can be whatever you want, though I personally am looking for more art of the painting/drawing type for the IFC. You have to give us permission to use this art for the contest as well, though you will be given credit!
Whoever helps solve these issues the best according to the votes of the judges wins this round! Likewise for the bonus round which is separate from round 11 and which is focused on dancing.

I think it's important to mention the sponsors and I even think we should have a round in the future that somehow is centered around the idea of celebrating the people who help donate to this IFC contest.
The rules are..
You must create your own blog post on your page in regards to the challenge with a title mentioning the specific contest, IE something like.. "Information Finding Championship - Season 1 : Round 11 entry" and then link it here on this page in the comments below. And you also have to use the #informationfinding tag in your blog post as well.
For this challenge.. If there's a tie.. We will do another round to see who wins.
The winner will be decided by whoever gets the most votes.
The only people who can vote in a qualifying sense are myself and the judges I've selected and we will vote by leaving a comment on the submission that we like the most and say something like.. "I vote for this one" and a reason why we voted would be good too, but is not mandatory.
You have until this challenges post payout ends to submit your post.
The challenge will finish after 7 days when the post ends and provides its payout cycle and unless there is a tie, the winner will gain the steem, level up and have a point to go towards their long term win. (minus the 25% or so for curation)

Thank you, kind of speechless when I first read the whole thing. Yep, I'm an old guy. I am on and in the discord chat quite a bit, bouncing between contest, and newbie, and spending off time in the dungeon that @charisma777 put up for me. Slowly learning and upto level 9.
I, like everyone, love the new Judges Artwork, really nice job was done on that. I think that your contest and the newbie initiative can be a good fit, have from the beginning, I mean the prize you are offering is nothing to sneeze at even for a well establish dolphin, for a new user, it would be like hitting the jackpot or winning the lottery. Depending on the price of steem that prize is like halfway to a vote slider.
Also there is the prize journey of the rewards for each round, once again nothing to sneeze at. I was able with one win, and @charisma777 's bonus round able to help out the newbie initiative with some prize monies given to them. It helped to launch the newbiegames page and helped two other newbie initiative participants with their games.
It is hard to play monopoly by yourself, the IFC is one of those games/contest that the more the merrier and I do mean merrier. It is so much fun seeing what other people come up with, how they see your quest, and how the seek out the knowledge.
For me it is all about the journey, the travel, the friends met along the way, the happiness for the others success, or for their journey. It is not about the end or the beginning, it is like life, kind of all about the middle, the growing part.

That's super cool! Both your generosity and also to know that through your generosity this competition has helped in such ways! Whoa.. I'm kind of flabbergasted to hear that, that's awesome and.. We're just getting started! In time I think there will probably be more stories like that of people who used their rewards to help others in the future!
I just told charisma777 the other day that this contest continues to surprise me in positive ways almost every single day.. And.. With what you said above, I am yet again positively surprised.
I was also super excited at the start! So to see it just continually over and over and regularly surprise me in positive ways, is.. Humbling and fascinating.. I'm still kind of mind boggled by it and at times I wonder how this idea ended up at the reality it is at today and it's still relatively small, but.. Like.. Wow.. Sometimes if you find a really good idea, it sort of just takes off through the help of others who also believe in it or who enjoy it and participate in it. Which is a major reason I wanted to thank you, and the few others who helped from the beginning especially, I've been doing a lot of work, but.. If it wasn't for you and others.. It wouldn't be anywhere near what it is.
Also I really vibed with what you said at the end there! Those are some great thoughts and a good way to look at things. :) Glad we met and glad to have you be a part of the contest! :D
From the looks of things @bashadow, the dungeon keeps you quite busy!!! I am absolutely ready for more of my bonus' !! One will be coming up very soon! Oh, and the prize....well, It will be an awesome surprise!! Glad to see you are still enjoying yourself and have completely shown me that you are in it to win it!!! Awesome! Lots to think about before even starting an entry for this one! Finally back with wifi and solid internet so will be more active within the community again! But got some thinking to do on how to come up with something for this one! :)

Yeah.. I think this round is going to be pretty important too! So far the last couple rounds in regards to finding a sponsor and more players I think went very well, so hopefully the challengers can continue to help us figure out this world and build it with their clever ideas as we go. :)
I have really enjoyed reading throught all of them, now to go find the winner to round 9 I will be leaving my vote in just a bit! I am really looking forward to any entries into the bonus round!

I was advised to check this contest, unfortunately that person thinks too highly of me, this is definitely too much for my plate.
However, hat's off to whoever can pull this off, it certainly is ambitious!

I looked over some of your stuff the other day as well and think your Empire idea is very fascinating. It's sort of similar to what I'm doing. And your RPG game looks interesting too!
So once again, I'm not sure what your intentions were, or what davemccoy's intentions were, I dunno why you think it's too much for your plate, but.. I am certainly still looking to branch out and work with others. Maybe there's some other kind of way we could work together that is different than you had in mind? I dunno, Though.. As I said I am looking to reach out more to others in the ways I can. Thanks either way even if you can't think of anything! :) Cheers to you as well.
Yes, you're right. Im also always open to networking and cooperation, but Im not illustrator... what I mean is I'm not skilled enough for this kind of work.
I design sure, but logos and corporate stuff. It's different.

Cool. :) Well maybe we can figure out a way to work together. I have this digital castle here with a decent amount of passionate players and judges and other people who are connected in various ways. And.. You have your "digital empire" as well. I imagine their must be some way we could sort of "cross platform" and benefit each other in some kind of mutual way.
In regards to.. Being an illustrator or designing any kind of artwork.. That's no problem, we have numerous artists among our players and connections in case we need anything of that sort.
I was thinking more along the lines of.. Some kind of way our digital castle could interact with your digital empire... I'm hesitant to say much without knowing more.
I did read your recent update on your empire, but.. Do you think you could sort of.. Explain the idea just briefly in regards to how it sort of works? Maybe there's an opportunity somewhere here for us to collaborate, it seems like we are doing sort of similar things.. By the way.. I really like your empire idea! That's some cool stuff. :D
