Information Finding Championship rules simplified.

I've heard from some people that the rules were confusing, and long.. So.. This is a post to help simplify the rules of the IFC and serve as a source to send people to who are interested in joining or being a part of the contest.

Recently I started this contest called the IFC or Information Finding Championship..
The simplest way to explain it I think is that it's kind of like the UFC, except people compete intellectually to solve problems, or riddles or create artwork or help others or... Etc etc etc.

So far a great little community has sprung up of judges and contestants and just people who are interested in general, we have even recently been fortunate enough to receive a sponsor in the form of @ats-david
Thanks to him, some of the individual rounds will have much higher rewards as he has said he will try to upvote once a week.

Definitely a big thanks to ats-david and if you appreciate this contest you may want to consider also voting for ats-david as a witness since he has helped so much here and has been so generous to our competition and those who participate in the challenges.

The grand prize for whoever wins is 150 steem plus we will have some artwork drawn up of the winner to represent them in our digital world.
There's a much smaller prize for 2nd and 3rd places as well.

Plus the steem from each individual round is also awarded to the winner of said round, so even if you don't win the whole thing or get 2nd or 3rd, there's still a bunch of opportunities to make some steem here and there on the way through the contest. :)

The challenge for the 150 steem grand prize is a long one and will end on July 18. And the second season will start sometime soon after that, not sure how long.. But I'll probably want a decent little break.

At the end of the competition, the two challengers who have accumulated the most wins will face off in a final 1vs1 battle in which the best 3 out of 5 wins the grand prize.

So.. Even if you get in somewhat late, and you're not in first place, you might still be able to get second place and still get a chance for the grand prize win. At this point, there's still a lot of time left and if anyone wanted to participate they should be able to catch up if they are a good Information Finder and if the judges like their submissions.

Additionally. I plan on doing some "catch up" rounds which will allow only people who have not leveled up yet to compete in that particular challenge, giving people who haven't got a win yet a chance to get in the game and catch up.

Oh and.. Each individual round often has unique rules or characteristics to it, so.. Some things may not be covered here or in the more detailed rules or anywhere until the actual round challenge happens itself.
