Confidence through blogging
For the last couple of months I have been busy typing away about a large number of subjects, most of which are things that are important in my life. One of the side effects of all this blogging (besides the payouts) is a nice boost in the confidence department.
Don't get me wrong I have never been the shy type but writing seems to have a kind of soothing and empowering effect at the same time.
On the one hand when I am writing I get in this really zen mode, almost therapeutic. It is feels good to write about the things going on in your life (like this post). The empowering effect of writing helps keeping things in perspective and is nice break from the humdrum of life.
The uplifting part of Steemit are the comments and feedback from the community. The comments and appreciation about what you have posted are a real boost for moral. It feels good to share things and receive positive feedback from fellow Steemians. It is the true reward for the posts you spent so much time creating.
The supportive and positive community is the true power behind the success of Steemit.
When I first started with Steemit back in June I never thought that I would be able to post on an almost daily basis but the great comments and support makes it easy to come up with a new subject every day. Let alone have other people be interested in my ramblings.
Doing my thing on Steemit has boosted my confidence in many ways and has made me more "zen" and sure about the things I partake in. It also has had a positive effect in my work and daily life. Joining Steemit has had a positive effect on me and made me more conscious and confident, thanks to a loving and supportive community.
Lately I have not been able to make my daily posts or interact as much as I like because of my busy work schedule. It also has been very busy on the crypto front with some exciting opportunities coming up for me to power up and invest in the platform I believe in.

Great post! I always had a feeling that writing can help boost one's confidence. It's been something that I wanted to try but I kept hesitating because I always felt that I didn't know what to write about.
Aside from comments, what other ways do you use to come up with topics to write about?
Thanks, I write all the ideas I have down in evernote. This way I always have a long list of topics to choose from.

I've made similar experiences. I was very insecure about my knowledge, thinking there is nothing I'm good enough at to write about. And with each post I write I get more confident about what I know, who I am and about my writing.
On the other hand sometimes it's also depressing, when there are no reactions on well thought posts I had invested many hours of my time in writing, photographing and formatting.
Then I get frustrated and wanna cry out loud: "what am I doing wrong? Why doesn't anybody read and upvote my posts? What else can I do????!!"
Why do people upvote obviously copied content with non original photos, and don't upvote my content.
But then I try to draw back and stop looking at what I don't have and focus on what I have: the 100+ followers, increasing steem power, increasing reputation, the comments that ARE there, the upvotes I DO get.
And I try to figure out which kind of content gets recognition and produce more of that.
Additionally some bought upvote also boost my self confidence? When looking at my blog. 😀😀👍
The thing is to just keep doing what you are doing and focus on what you consider to be good quality posts. It's true that great posts often get overlooked. I even have a series called "unappreciated posts" addressing that isseu. A lot of the posts that I consider by best earned only a couple of cents. In the end it doesn't matter. Believe in yourself and what you are doing. Keep an eye out for the next round of unappreciated posts so that you can submit your gems....
I'd a similar experience. My goal was to write 183 posts per year or 1 in 2 two days. Now i'm already at 115 posts within a quarter year! No short ones with just a picture or 3-liner poem, long posts where i put my in my knowledge, news, topics i'm interested in and where i think it could be valuable for others. While writing i constantly learning about the topic through repetition and research, i think one factor for the personal boost, simply reading new things.
And yes, the mystical zen-mode also befalls me. It feels enlightening finishing a post and know "It's done!". The payout is not the most important in this case, BUT it boosts the experience even more, sure, because it is the confirmation by the community to be a valuable member with a important contribution.
My conclusion:
"High on posts!"
