To me personally, "Human Certified Original Works" means more than just "Not Plagiarized". "Not Plagiarized" is really a pretty low bar to get over, a baseline, but I am looking for something more... I am looking for creative posting, truly original posting, posting that adds something valuable to Steemit. When I give out this badge I am not just saying that I have checked the work manually to make sure it is the original work of the author (although that is part of the process - I do manually check for plagiarism before handing out a badge), but I am going farther and saying I think this post is original. I think it is creative. If you see my familiar alien eyeball poking out of a badge in the comments of a post you are looking at, this post and this author have the @carlgnash seal of approval."

My Personal Curation Mission

I am looking for what I call "Girl POWAness" . My aim is to go beyond the beyond as it Carl does and find authors and posts that are creative , unique, and original in a more specific way. I want to encourage women to be fallible and fierce and men to be vulnerable and open. I want to create space for women to be bold and wild on steemit (not like that perv) and for them to thrive. I want to create space for sensitive and/or shy men and bold male feminists to get all the cookies i can give them. Additionally, i want to recognize that women are not free until all peoples are free and find it very important to also highlight and create space for those from African Diaspora cultures.

*What is "girlpowaness" to me? *

• Women who are bold, loud, bucking traditional roles and gender expressions (at least sometimes...)
• Men who buck traditional male roles and support women

• Creations with Strong female leads, complex groups of female cahracters leading the plot of songs or stories or art
• Women embracing their inner child
• Women helping other women

[WHY do you do this? Whats in it for YOU!?! ]
Firstly I believe that in order for steemit to "go viral" as they say and be fully ready for mainstream success then not only does steem and sbd need to be valuable BUT there needs to be a clear and open pathway for it to be earned. The little guys are what make the viral part. Everyone in the ocean is important and worthy, but its the masses that make this an ecosystem rather than a gigantic tank of nothingness. I've done a small amount of research from the past to validate this belief.

Also, for me-- its all about the cookie. Curating is hard but its research based, rather than entertainment/fandom based. sometimes i just wanna search and click and get rewarded for finding stuff

This article makes amazing argument for curation rewards. I believe that there is power in getting something simply for appreciating and supporting an artist. While i want to upvote things that will be lucrative, i also just feel good that spending all this time reading, commenting, and upvoting results in something that will keep me going. Money feeds the BEING.

-- Delegation: Right now @stellabelle has given me delegation for a few weeks until January. I am hoping to get some datageniuses to help me formulate my curation history and compile it with new user comments. hopefully some amazing person will see how determined Iam to find talented noobs and train and RETAIN them. Yes, I am focusing on women and Africans but I make exceptions for really awesome white doodes :P

--Investing:I'm watching and hoping that SBD goes back down. When I get my taxes back I will be investing 50% of it into my steempower. Aint gonna be much, but still--- i will do this.

--Curation Guilding: I also plan to try and entice many medium sized minnows and dolphins to donate or delegate to my community page @teamgirlpowa and the @humanbot page . I have been upvoting women, africans, artists, and exceptional scientist/engineers/economists/artists/comedians for two months now. One month i was up to .02 cents and now its been 2 weeks with .88 cent votes at 100VP. I think i can convince a few people to keep the gravy train going.

---Busting Ass: I'm hoping that the weekly content that I put out continues to entertain. This is my main skill. I dont plan to dissapoint. Just need time management!! (p.s. stay tuned for more coloring contests, stories, and comedic rants)

If you read the links above then you understand that curation is essential for user retention at the plankton/minnow level and that curation rewards are essential for minnows and dolphins to be motivated to upvote. Minnows like myself barely have .02 cents to give without delegation, let alone to recieve. You can upvote yourself , upvote only people you already know or you can allow us to spread some of your vote and do that work for you. FOR ME---> you know what my criteria is. If that suits you, then I won't dissapoint! I don't have the data but I believe happy minnows and dolphins means happy WHALES
