I Need Some Idea's ~ Win upto 128 Steem

in #community6 years ago

You have probably noticed I like to be a pioneer of undone things here on Steemit. If you read back through my blog you will see many things that I did have turned into the weekly blog post of some other accounts which is awesome. I don't look to be a trendsetter but I guess a good idea is easy to run with. After saying that I would hope that this post would also catch on and become something more users do at least once but reality and the normal human nature and greed will not allow it to be so.

My life has taken a change for the better and I give credit to the users of Steemit who have allowed me to talk through so of my life's issues, users who I do not know being overly kind to me when that is out of character for most humans. So, I am going to do something that is fully like me and I hope will catch on from users who are able to do so as well.

Wishful thinking but here goes.

I am looking for someone that needs some general help in life. I'd like you to share your story with Steemit, with me, with the world forever on the blockchain. I will either buy votes for a few post to over $100 or if I am really moved and feel that the person is honest and really in need, I will power down my account for a week or two and send the liquid Steem to them to either withdraw for life reasons or power up for their Steemit future.

I am NOT looking for entries by charities as I don't believe in them as they do things for profit. Yes, they are for profit unless 100% of what they make goes 100% to people who do not work for the charity, overhead or operating cost. I also feel everyone needs to look at that when donating to a charity. You would benefit more people in real life if you would just give your money directly to people and not a charity.

So, if you have a story that you want to share for this contest, please write a post and link it to the comment section here so I can review them and maybe help some people out in real life as I have been helped by those on the platform who have been here for me.

Winners will be picked as I see what I feel it is I am looking for.

My story is the same as many Venezuelans! We need money, for nothing but basic services, mainly eating, that's what I need most!

I have thought about emigrating, as much of my family and friends have done, but I can not! My grandfather died 2 months ago, because of the lack of medicines and instruments to counterattack cancer! and that's why my grandmother was left alone, since my uncles emigrated 1 year ago. So we were alone she and I, I can not leave her, she will not want to leave the country, so I must stay here with her, while I finish my university career (geography, I have left like 1 year of study)

I thought months ago that I would go crazy with this situation, the depression is sometimes very strong, having to endure the departure of my grandfather, the departure of a large number of relatives, friends, the loneliness that is lived in this country, the chaos and inefficiency. And not to mention the constant inflation, which every day makes everything worse. As it may be that $ 1, is equivalent to almost 4 million bolivares, what a barbarity! It is impressive how everything goes up, in January a simple box of 24 eggs, cost less than 500 thousand Bolivares, today it costs more than 5 million Bolivares.

Only one thing has given meaning to my life, these last 3 months, and it has been steemit, thanks to steemit, I have been able to help me in my studies and with my basic needs. Steemit changed my life, even more than the whales that have a lot of money here. I feel even more pleased than them, I am a small fish, my portfolio is small, my SP limited and even so Steemit has raised my morale, helped me as never before had done something else.

The truth is I do not like to ask for anything from other users, and I try to keep my nationality hidden, I do not like to give pity. Neither beg for the situation, I do not ask for steem, I do not ask SBD, my goal is to get SP, win and win, to have a better future, backed by Steemit, I trust this page, I trust this currency and I know it can take me Something very big.

Thank you very much, regards!

Late but safe!

Thanks!

@apple96 to be entered into the contest you have to make a post about your struggles and put the link here.

@erodedthoughts - @apple96 is the guy whom I personally know. He really has this desperate life situation, as he said here most Venezuelans now have. But what I also know he has strong character and very kind heart to stay in dying country with his dying grandmother while all his relatives leave, this is what I call - the MAN, he helps people (I know it, as I watched him, after he helped me) not asking anything in return. So I am asking you for this guy. Please Help him @erodedthoughts in any possible way you are currently able to. I will follow you now @erodedthoughts for this only post of yours that I've seen for now and for this great desire to help people that you have showed in it.
I promise, you will receive my personal life-time respect if you can feel it and help this guy - @apple96 (in any possible way that you can afford for now) - he really needs it.
Thank you advance!

I've been a follower of things happening in your country of Venezuela. I'm sorry that the economy and currency is so bad there and now that the people suffer from the fall out not being able to afford food to live.

I do hope that one day, some kind of cryptocurrency for the people can work out for Venezuela!

It is difficult task actually, because to be honest is not an easy, almost everywhere we go we wear mask (pretend) to cover the real us. I will re-steem it for more visibility, and I am trying to write something in honest way, If I cannot tell the true story then I will not post anything here. best regard @erodedthoughts...:)

This is the response of your contest @erodedthoughts, this is my official entry, I hope it is qualified as your expectation, thank and best regard

@thedarkhorse asked me to support you and happy to do it. your post shows not only your struggles but also the type of person you are.

just added a bunch of 100% votes for you. hope it helps a little.

it does help me my friend @bjgeese. And I hove no words to thank you in proper way for what you have done. wish you and your family all the best

Hey buddy, what's up? I think it's a good initiative what you're doing.... look, I'm in a bit of a difficult economic situation right now, but I'm still grateful for a lot of things because where I come from there are people in a much more difficult situation. Despite being from this part of the world where everything is so complicated, I still have hope that things can get better, and I am totally convinced that I can contribute to that.

However, for reasons beyond my control, I have decided to move to Chile, with my brother, where I will have more opportunities and earn a living with a job, something that in Venezuela is currently impossible by common means, as it should be.

I really want to grow up on Steem, and I am fully aware that in order to do so I have to power up, which has become almost impossible for me since most of the rewards I get in my posts I use it for living and for common expenses.

For this reason, I am writing to you, to be considered in your initiative, and if you think I deserve that support, every STEEM/SBD I'll receive from your support, I will power up to grow my SP.

Cheers.

Hey bro, good luck with your journey in Chile!

Hey buddy! thanks. I've got everything ready, I'm waiting for my visa

Joe is really big human being. He is and amazing musician and he lead an a project with the @sndbox support.

Shit, this almost makes me feel like getting off my ass to use my witness votes. Almost.

If only others would see these acts of support to the community. One of the reasons why I admire Matt so much. His support is never flashy, but he does show support to others. I'm happy to see your post was supported @erodedthoughts. Such kindness you are showing to others.

Thank you for helping get this post seen.

No prob @erodedthoughts. It's a great initiative. I hope this money goes to people in need.

Also, why do you upvote the bot? :P

I upvoted them to show the community support from the users who bought the votes.

Oh ok. I bought the vote :P But I don't think tipu bot needs an upvote lol.

@tipu bot actually does tremendously good work on its own as well! I don't think its owner takes much from it (@cardboard), and he uses proceeds to develop a community account that helps users, as well as buying SBI shares for people ...and steemmonsters. Everybody seems to love steemmonsters. Can't wait until it's actually a game to play! Full disclosure, I'm a delegator to @tipu because I like how it does what it does!

Voluntary votes on them is better than the bot owners bid their own bots' comments. It's actually obnoxious.

Nothing is voluntary here. I paid for the vote!

Right...? @tipu and @cardboard didn't upvote @tipu just now, the vote recipient did.

I really want to buy some more shitcoins

I have a small penis and in dire need of money for penis enlargement surgery :(

Just go the sex change way... it's easier to take out then to add! I heard they are really good at doing it in thailand!

Have you tried the pump and pills?

Pills don't work and it's too small to fit in a pump

Buy some large nukes and launch them at another world leader with a small penis... (Or just make him think you're going to launch them... rattle his cage a bit.)

haha ... one of the best comments I've read in awhile lmao

Am literally rolling on the floor laughing right now

Can we get a video? You always laugh at us, lol.

This thread is literally life... hahaha!

I just feel bad that I made a joke at @trumpman's condition. He was honestly asking for help and we made fun of him.

it is not a condition...
lol

wow I wasn't ready for that pic

I am dying... Lawd. Hahahahaha

Hey @erodedthoughts, I am in true desperate need to find a mighty exorcist, a foolproof witch doctor or someone exceedingly eminent mastering the arts of healing by smoking ritual tobaccos. Or curing by magic spells or through using quack remedies or something that powerful that will be utterly able to help out to my cute fiancee with her current little problems asap.

I would need someone who is extremely capable and effective as to help her get rid of her usual struggles to do the simplest of things well. I need urgently that specialist, before I dare to propose her to live with me and she come and rescue me from my dreadful loneliness. But I still do not dare to ask.

¿Would you think my case deserves your generous attention and you may find it worthy that I share the full story to participate on this contest? Winning those 128 Steem certainly could change my life!!

I will leave here an audiovisual summary of the case to see what you think.

Thank you!! :)

That was too funny, reminded me of my daughter who just left for college.

Hahahaha yeah mate! our daughters always look pretty much like that. ;)

that would be me, just send coin! 😁🦅

Ah! but in your case dear @eaglespirit. The treatment must be based on drink too much shots of tequila baby. Hahahaha :p

By the way, ¡Happy belated birthday! :)

PS. Oh! ¿did you mean you'd be 'that' specialist I'm looking for? I wonder if you as a Medical Reiki Master could help my cute fiancee with her issues. If you can, maybe the coins are on their way to your hands. Let's see if @erodedthoughts approves my entry for his contest. LoL

ahha nooooo i just had one margarita 🤑
thank you so much for the bday wishes and yes yes just send coin and ill get rid the unfriendlies for you 🤣🤣🤣

ZOMG too funny. Who made that video? Too true. Each of these is me. Except my problem with water is that it gets in my mustache and then drips down my front after the drink.

Holy Cow Brendan!! I don't even want to imagine when you eat beans & haricots. Because If your whiskers and beard are too long, it could look like an eternity until the beans dripping reach the ground. Buddy! LoL

Ha. That's giving me deja vu. See, I had to make a how-to:

You would benefit more people in real life if you would just give your money directly to people and not a charity.

I couldn't agree more! It makes my blood boil when I see charities advertising for fund raisers and offering to pay them 9-10 gbp per hour. Surely those jobs should be voluntary.

Personally me and mine are... well, ok I guess. We get by. And I'm sure there are others in more need of help. I'll resteem to help spread the word of your quest?

Thank you, yes we could all use a little money. I personally could "use" the 128 Steem in real life to make things easier but I know somewhere on here 128 Steem will change a life. There are big differences between want's and need's, struggling and without.

There are plenty of stories where 128 Steem will make a difference and I know there are some where 128 Steem will change a life. I don't think the people who it will change a life for will be held up by pride to ask. The more people who resteem, the better the chance of real help happening.

Thank you for the resteem.

Hello @erodedthoughts, I want to thank you for this kind-hearted initiative. My name is Miguel Vargas and i want to share with you a part of my life. This is my story: https://steemit.com/life/@miguelvargas/i-m-miguel-vargas-and-this-is-my-story.

In that publication I put all my heart. I talked about my life as a musician, as a university student, my love life, the desire to build a family and my efforts to give back to this blockchain everything that has given me. I may have exceeded characters, I hope not to bore you with so many details. However, I thank you in advance for all your time to read me. A hug brother.

i'm here a little bit late, hope get the chance to read me.

That was one hell of a story you submitted.

I did want to ask because it sits in the back of my mind, how do you pay for university?

hey buddy, I know you didn't ask me, but here in Venezuela despite the difficult situation, we have some public universities, which are not fully functioning due to the economic and social crisis.

edit: I'm a musician too, and there is a chance here to get a good education in that profession, the core problem is that because of our crisis there are a lot of good teachers/musicians immigrating or leaving their jobs at the university because they earn more money by working freelance, not to mention all the other factors affecting the employees of these universities, infrastructure, insecurity, crime, etc.

You may have a lot of questions about our situation here because there is a lot of information out there, both true and false, but I can assure you that everything that @miguelvargas says to you is reliable.

University is a college, correct?

that's correct

That's awesome, I did not know that there were free colleges in the world. That offers a lot of potential improvement for people who would otherwise not be able to attend due to cost.

Man, higher education in Venezuela is been free since 1864, there are some private colleges but they are meant for the lazy and rich so they can buy they way into dad's company.

@joedukeg explained it very well @erodedthoughts.

We are proud here of the music level. We export high quality musicians to the best orchestras in the world. That was possible thanks to the System of Orchestras, a foundation that founded orchestras throughout the country and hired many foreign musicians to form them. Unfortunately, at this time there is no money to keep all the infrastructure, things fall apart, teachers give up and there are only those who with much love and support from their families who send money, can spend their time to train students that still remain.

Luckily, that university education is completely free and, despite all the difficulty of attending classes, I am very grateful to all the professors. Would you believe me if I told you that a teacher's salary equals approximately $ 1 a month? Well, they with that small income (which by the way is paid late) strive to teach us what they know.
