@firepower (who is awesome!!!) did a post chronicling an accident he had. @sjennon responded with a fun and uplifting message.

"I remember that I asked you something over WhatsApp and you didn't respond. It was only after a day or two when I realized you never replied to which I sent you another message on the 12th of February:

What is this attitude?
Because someone must have a great attitude to not reply to my amazing texts. It was only the day after that I read your Facebook post about your accident and I froze. You texted me though:

Show me some love girl
Even though you were wrecked, you still managed to come up with a funny sentence to start the conversation with.

Throughout your hospital adventures, we were talking most of the days, I asked about your progress, you sent me horrific pictures back without warning which made @things scream - and then we both would laugh. You always made jokes, which aways lightened the mood. And I fired them back at you. You told me about the funny visual of your feet dangling as you were lifted in the car, or sent me pictures of your sexy shaved man leg. In return, I sent you pictures of me in kurti and my experimental indian food.

I definitely hope I helped you make time go a little faster as you were passing days in the hospital bed.

I carefully chose to send you the guitar pick. I asked you if you were able to play still, to which you said it was possible. For some reason, I specifically wanted to send you this. I know I wanted something personalized. Something cool! Maybe it was because it was damn pretty and I never knew how to play guitar myself (and honestly too lazy to try it out), but maybe it was also because this tiny piece of wood could give you the motivation to be able to use it properly as you could before.

Up to this day, we still talk on a regular basis and I am happy we still do. We crack jokes about TittyCoins, I ask stupid questions about Steemit and what not.

I met you at SteemFest, actually I met you before online on Facebook and introduced me to Steemit for which I can't thank you enough. I am happy we met, because I got myself a friend who I know I can count on.

I know, one cannot submit own's comments, so never mind if you cannot take in this one but in this case I would just like to spark a bit of attention to @v4vapid success.

I tweeted his book review "How I Lost by Hillary Clinton" today, and it was retweeted by Joe Lauria, the author himself, (not Hillary though as the book is written in her "own words" and it was also not Julian Assange who wrote the foreword of the book). So I just left the comment on his page hightlighting the response.

Id like to nominate my friend @iamsgr for the comment below. Here he tries to help a new user with tags. See for yourself

Welcome to the community @rockchickjen.. Great to know about you :)
You should have given the first tag as 'introduceyourself' (without a space between introduce and yourself)..by this the post would have reached to more people in this community.. I suggest you to copy the things and repost with a bit edits.. tags recommended :"introduceyourself, introduction , newuser , hello, steemit"
Just a suggestion ;) happy steeming

I just noticed that I won a prize, thank you so much @acidyo! It's greatly appreciated.

I would like to nominate @sykochica for the comment below

Yea, it was originally from many many months ago. While some of the info was still applicable, some things needed to be updated as well as getting additional notes put into the slides (that couldn't really fit well on the slide itself.) I also noticed afterwards that I need to update the "Where's the money come from" post since it had numbers prior to the economic changes. I'll take care of that tomorrow. :)

I don't have a meetup planned myself just yet, but I do think it'd be fun to do here in St. Louis. I'd love to have you swing through (even if not for a meetup)...we can hit the boats and play some poker! Or make it to Springfield and get into the podcast studio!

I do plan to join stellabelles gathering in Kansas City next month which should be quite fun and interesting!

I would also like to nominate @aashishkandel

Bitcoin along with others cryptocurrencies have a long way to go,
even though bitcoin is old and outdated( my opinion) I still think bitcoin will rise much higher just because it's a crypto standard

I will nominate @surgo for his funny horrible experience :

I have keys but no locks. I have a space but no room. You can enter, but can’t go outside. What am I?
Keyboard. Quite obvious.
What flies when it’s born, lies when it’s alive, and runs when it’s dead?
I was at a loss for a while, and eventually made the connection with states of matter. My best guess, at a massive stretch: snow. However, it doesn't feel right, as we're talking about things which are "alive".
I was looking into bugs, like a caterpillar/ butterfly/ whatever (I'm not an entomologist), but couldn't find anything that would fit.
So I Googled it, and it's supposed to be a snowflake. WHY. Terrible riddle. 0/10. Wouldn't consider it again.
What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?
M.
I spent far too much time trying to figure it out, until I tried focusing on the spelling, at a complete loss.
Quote marks exist for a reason. 0/10, wouldn't repeat. Horrible experience.
A worker is placing the windows on the 50th floor of a skyscraper, suddenly, he slips and falls. Is he alive or dead?
He's alive. Installing windows generally happens from the inside.
Alternatively: he couldn't slip if he was outside the building on one of their lift things - they have anti-slip surfacing generally. Also safety equipment.
A woman is sitting in her hotel room when there is a knock at the door. She opened the door to see a man whom she had never seen before. He said "oh I'm sorry, I have made a mistake, I thought this was my room." He then went down the corridor and in the elevator. The woman went back into her room and phoned security. What made the woman so suspicious of the man?
Lots of answers.
He was naked (say... on drugs?)
He was injured (in shock, thus the good manners)
He had a gun (went out to get it to kill himself)
He knocked on the door of his room (although he might as well have been knocking to check if his traveling coworker is decent).
etc. etc. etc.
Riddles aren't my sport, but I do find the vast majority of them far too vague to be of any use.

@whatamidoing's comment on @marius19's post about masks and who we really are. Well said

From a young age we only know love that comes with expectations. These expectations taint the love we receive and prevents us from feeling the same safety and acceptance that we would feel if the love were free of expectations. So we create a mask, because maybe your mother won't love you if you don't do well in school. Your friends might not love you if you aren't cool. Your teachers don't love you if you don't behave. It's not only love but acceptance as well. Our acceptance depends upon certain things.
So we need a mask.

When we get older, we can't conceive of love that is free of expectations because we already associate the two so automatically. And we lose track of whats mask and whats real.

(Taaaainted love wooooaaaahhhh, I caught myself as I said it and wanted to sing then but I thought it would take away from my comment)

@reddust comment on @oluwoleolaide' post on Tribute to his mom.

Hugs from a Mom, I'm so sorry for your pain. She looks so beautiful, I hope her next adventure is full of light and love. She left the world a beautiful gift, good men, which are more precious than any treasure here on earth❤️

I agree with @timcliff that at this point the action in SBD has little to do with STEEM or Steem users. It trades more or less independently on the Poloniex exchange (and others, but Poloniex is the largest) and in volumes that are far greater than what Steem users are responsible for.

What drives the SBD price is the value that is attached to it by speculators as well as overall demand in the cryptocurrency economy for stable tokens (especially given the problems that have surfaced with the market leader Tether). We've seen the same sort of sudden and large surge of trading into BitUSD (bitshares dollar token), except that in that case the peg was held much better because Bitshares has the ability to create new BitUSD tokens as needed to satisfy demand (by shorting).
