Comment of the Day #5 - Some changes in the rules

in #comment7 years ago

Comment of the Day nominations will now last 1 week so readers can vote and nominate the winners on a wider timeline. That means the decision of which top 3 comments won will be made after the posts payout in 1 weeks time.

Please bear in mind this takes effect for Comment of the Day #4 and this one which is #5.

Also the voting from me on the winning comments which was thought to be an "added bonus" after the won Steem Dollars might be removed or lowered since it uses up a lot of voting power and the SB the winners receive might be enough.

Instead the votes that goes to users nominating will be bumped from 1% to 10%.

Guidelines

-Quote the comment you feel is worthy of a bigger reward (can not be your own)
-Add a link to the original in the same comment (you get a permalink of the comment by clicking on the time next to the username of the comment)
(example: )
-Vote for your winners and feel free to change the weight of the vote when checking other's suggestions as well
-I will vote up the suggestions with the same % (currently 10%) as to not interfere with the decision of who wins but reward the effort

Reward Split

Top 3 daily comments will be rewarded by the posting rewards of this post and by a vote from me and my curation trail.

-50% of the SteemDollars will go top comment #1, 30% to top comment #2 and 20% to top comment #3

Here is pretty funny one from @therealpaul discussing a piece of art.

"It's amazing what you did with the 'material' there, but I think what happened was you ran over the flexible sheath of a portable condiment dispenser, and if the color is any clue, I'd say it was a large tomatus catsupus, often seen laying around roadsides in North America. They do grow them big up in Canadia don't they? Probably better keep that in the freezer."

I would like to nominate @triverse for this comment :

I share almost all of my articles on Facebook and Twitter (among direct shares with people I know would be interested). The usual response is "good article I agree/disagree" and then either nothing or a long response. I ask them to sign up here and discuss it with the rest of us and that response is a resounding "no" or "I would only sign up to comment on your stuff and I can do that here on Facebook/Twitter/direct message."

One of my staff members, I own a couple of websites and a PR firm, came over and joined us - @dashthebomber - but the others are simply not interested for whatever reason (some have cited signing up problems and others simply no interest at all in "another social networking site.").

You can lead a horse to water but not make it drink as they say
