Colour Challenge: Weird and Unusual Berries
This is pokeweed, or so they tell me.
The Dutch name is "karmozijnbes", "bes" meaning "berry" and "karmozijn" meaning "carmine" or "crimson"; a misnomer if ever I saw one, because the older berries are clearly indigo, specially on Saturdays.
No discussion there.
Period.

These berries are poisonous, so keep them away from children, dogs, and stupid adults; cats, well, you decide.

Cats have 32 muscles that control the outer ear (compared to human's 6 muscles each). A cat can rotate its ears independently 180 degrees, and can turn in the direction of sound 10 times faster than those of the best watchdog.
