This is my participation in the colorchallenge orange Tuesday
This is the orange cariaquito flower, I took it in my mom's yard. There are several colors (orange, pink, yellow, purple, white)
The cariaquito is an aromatic shrub sometimes of unpleasant fragrance that integrates the group of American plants belonging to the family of the verbenaceae, known with the scientific name of Lantana, is very useful for its medicinal properties.
It is native to the Neotropics, from North of South America to Peru, cultivated as ornamental in other regions of the world.
Characterized by being stomachache, carminative and emenagogas, this means that they can be used to combat a heavy digestion, promote gastric secretion and appetite, in addition to helping the expulsion of gases and promote blood flow at the level of the pelvis , therefore, stimulate menstruation.
The cariaquito is used to cure chronic colds and liver problems, wash irritated eyes, soothe rheumatic pains, reduce fever, fight lechina, relieve menstrual pain, those caused by varicose veins, to relieve dizziness, maintain hygiene in the privacy of women, as a sedative for nervous diseases, in addition to bronchial affections.
