[A Call for Participation - Collaborative Content Creation] An Article about STEEM as the world's first publicly-accessible SuperIntelligence! (Crowdfund + Liquid payout will be distributed to best creators / comments)

Crowdsourced Content Creation

So this post is my idea to showcase and demonstrate the power of the STEEM blockchain. It can be used for:-

  • Crowd-funding
  • Crowd-writing
  • Crowd-ideating
  • Crowd-organizing
  • Asynchronous Collaboration
  • A "replica" model of a massively-scaled learning human brain (superintelligence)

I think the human brain's ability to learn, communicate, and overcome obstacles is amazing. So my initial gut-feeling is to revolve this collaborative piece around the topic "public access SuperIntelligence" and why people should start using this platform.

(Community-driven initiatives will be improved by end year according to the roadmap. What I'm trying to achieve here in this post is to experience a rudimentary prototype model for community collaboration, hopefully learning something useful out of it!)

Here's what you can do -

If you have a better "hook"- feel free to replicate this post, modifying it for your purpose.

Someone can also just write a piece of Steemit's many dramas and how it resembles a growing baby's brain. Anything goes.

No clue at all of how to organize this effectively. So let's just do this pretty much like "anarchists".. and let the "leaders" emerge. Feel free to organize here (see, this is why comment nesting limits should be increased). If you're a lone-wolf, just do your thing. You can link up your writings here too (please make it relevant).

Just start writing and curating comments, etc.

Here's what I will do -

After 48 hours (or slightly more), I will take time to go through all the crowd-generated content, stitching the interesting stuff together and try to make a reasonably awesome piece for STEEM's marketing. If you're photographer / visual artist, you may also try to help out with images or even approach me to finalize the piece together.

I will try to finish that final piece in 7 days. Hopefully much lesser.

Donations and liquid payout will be distributed to best creators / comments

This post is not a democracy. I'm exercising my right as Dictator of this post to reward based on my subjective preference (Top voted comments are definitely part of the mix). I hope the community trusts me well enough that I will do this in a fair enough manner. (I just don't want too much of a headache over micro-managing stuff here..)

Reward pool to be divided disproportionately for the 10 best submissions. (remember I'm allowing anything here, including external links - it just needs to be relevant. Make a case out of your submission):-

  • The very best two (2) submissions will take 50% of the liquid pool, and the rest will be divided equally.
  • This lopsided distribution model is used to improve chances of some original, high-quality submission.
  • I'm contributing an extra 250 Steem into the reward pool. (if there's sufficient activity)

Your kind donations, if any, will be added into the reward pool for this collaboration.

(I will only be keeping the Steem Power generated)

Let's make STEEM great again!

Edit update: I'm not saying he's a superintelligence, just a fun pic :P

Cor, I am well late but in response to @opheliafu's post I made this! brain

Haha, great! I'd consider this a (late) submission. The organic matrix-ey effect thing is awesome :D

Excellent, glad you like! :O)

I am looking forward to see the results! I trust your dictatorship to be a reasonable, enlightened, dictatorship. If not, it will still be the time to laugh (but I am sure we will not get that far)! ^^

Hahah, my dictatorship may choose a socialist scheme or something with an equal division of labor / reward if there are no spammers appearing to make my life miserable.. but I think it's great there isn't much of that here anyway.

Btw are you familiar with the human brain, and stuff like synapses and neurons? I've been having some abstract analogy in mind for some time now that could use some illustration / research. Basically activities (especially the act of liking / voting) on other traditional social sites are not inherently charged by "currency", hence not analogous to a human brain. But on STEEM, that seems to be the case, each post is like a meta-congregation of neurons/synapses (obviously I'm not a neuro expert..). Just throwing this out there - anyone think it's a point for research / writing - feel free to come up with something.

Unfortunately, this is not my expertise. Maybe @justtryme? I have started to collect material that I have not read yet on neutral networks, so that I may soon gain knowledge on this, but I believe you are looking for help earlier than soon ^^

Sorry!

I have not studied neurons outside general biology courses in undergrad. However in kevin's analogy steem in the steemit user post neural system would be like dopamine in the brain nerve nervous system. As steem is the reward molecule for our platform just as dopamine is the reward molecule for the brain (or at least it gives us a rewarding feeling). Maybe this makes sense? Anyone study nerves round these parts?

My friend and I have created networks and I do know a bit

tell us about it :)

Calling for neurologists / neuroscientists!

biology its just a series of neurons with a few hundred or thousand connections to another ones. Each has a different amount of fat so a different amount of signal goes through. That basically modifies the data slightly. Over and over.

If we modify it for AI its just a series of linear transformations on data. If it doesn't get a "correct" answer it changes part of that matrix unit it gets a correct one

If you want to share this you may have difficulty tweeting it in the prerequisite word limit. I have truncated it and used Bitly to create this tweet if anyone wants to retweet:

Yes when I used the actual Steemit link it was something like 128 character over lol:)

I'm always confused between 140 or 128!

I have some pictures of whales - (funny types and one sculpture) in my previous posts including this one.

Feel free to use it if you fancy.

Cool! Thanks for dropping them here, will use if it fits!

You're welcome.

I'm not sure I fully understand this concept. Maybe I've read too many books on superintelligence and can't quite grasp how Steemit could be what you're describing. Could it be Quora? Maybe. More than that...? I'm not really sold on the idea, probably because I don't understand it.

Crowd-<anything> requires coordination. That's the hard part.

Yup I don't even know the answer, will try to discover through synthesizing whatever people contribute and come up with something.. lol

hi kevin. I'm lucas. I'm a photographer (http://www.steemimg.com/throughtheglass - most of the photos I've posted on steemit are here). I've got a lot more existing work and a lot of time, currently. Let me know if there's some specific way I can be of service.

Sure, and noted :)

I'm just putting out the idea. I don't even know what i'm doing here lol - but try to come back a day after. If there's participation, the comments here should look different tomorrow :)

interesting!! Although 48h might be short.

Yup I might extend it. I'm a dictator of this post afterall! Lol
*I've also just decided to add 250 steem into the pool

I'm unleashing a project tomorrow that might be very inline with this, Kevin. Pumped!

I'll be around :)

This sounds so amazing!

Just try to submit something, even if a somewhat-related link :)

Here is a concept idea,
A Steemit robot, built from the ground up, the community members each being a piece of its integral whole, travel trails etc can be the legs, the creative & makers can be the arms at the heart we have the carriers or stronger steemians. The robot can not function without all the pieces in place, thus is reliant on every member of the community. The community feeds the Steem Robot with information from its posts, and as such creates a deep learning cycle for the robot, and in turn learns from the teachings of others creating mutual grounds where both the endless knowledge fed into steemit can be housed and the inquiring human minds can be fed - the perfect equilibrium in an imperfect world.
The humans parent this Steemit baby whilst reaping not only knowledge as a reward but also financial gain... ?

Nice, I like the concept - could use a whole lot more elaboration! Atm I've added 250 STEEM to the pool.

Working on it.... !
