And trying not to harass the momma bird sitting on her nest with at least 3 tiny, newly hatched babies.

The thunderstorms rolled through energetically yesterday but we were afforded a break in the mid afternoon which gave us a chance to get back to the boulders for a little bit of scrubbing and cleaning. Which that phrase makes me think of Jimmy Neutron and the "Folding and Hanging" song Carl Wheezer sings. I actually scream the lyrics in my head...

Anyway, the rock was a bit moist still so I did not think I would be climbing, just cleaning. But often times the best laid plans tend to change. While J worked on scrubbing his rock I started to clean the top of the boulder. I forgot that the momma bird had her nest on the rock and I scrubbed a bunch of moss and debris past it. As I moved around the rock I walked past the nest and suddenly remembered she was there.

The nest sits mid way up the rock and is sheltered under the overhang. I have 2 problems that go right next to the nest, you can see them in the first picture, #6 and #7. #6 is called Cartoon Canadian - V1+ and #7 is Birdy Bye - V0. Cartoon Canadian gets its name from the fact the rock looks like a South Park version of a Canadian. Birdy Bye is because I keep scaring the bird out of her nest.

Today after the Germany world cup match I will be going camping for the night and then roped climbing tomorrow in the Kettle Crest area. Taking my drone with to try and get some action shots if possible.
