Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Issue 21
Welcome to another edition of Unlocking the Power of Chrome. You might notice something a little different about the title... Due to the fact that I cover a new extension every other day, I thought it might be better to label each post as a new issue, not a new day. Hopefully, that won't create any confusion moving forward.
If you didn't get a chance to check out the second special edition of Unlocking the Power of Chrome, you can check it out here.
At this point, I am out of user recommended extensions, so until I receive more, everything will be pulled from my list of favorites.
TinEye
The extension that I am going to be covering today is called TinEye. You can add it to your Chrome browser by visiting the Chrome Webstore here.
The extension also has an official webpage you can visit here.
TinEye is a reverse image search like Google has, but with the extension installed, you have two-click access to the service.
Once you have the extension installed you can right-click any image on any page and choose to "search image on TinEye". This will open a new tab with the TinEye page loaded and the results of your image search. On the results page you can sort several ways depending on how many similar images it found:
- Best Match
- Most Changed
- Biggest Image
- Newest
- Oldest
If you find yourself looking for image sources frequently, or need a better quality version of an image you are viewing, TinEye might be just the right fit for you.
As I mentioned, I am covering my own selection of extensions now. If you have an extension that I haven't covered already and you think I should, let me know about it in the comments.
If I highlight your suggested extension I will give you a follow, re-steem, shout-out, and upvote on one of your recent posts.

I've never heard of TinEye… I'll take a look, could be useful!
I think in certain situations it could be very useful. Probably not one of those extensions you would use every day, but still a solid tool to have in your toolbox.
Not really using extensions but this could be quiet useful. Thanks for the share 😊
For sure! I hope you keep coming back to check it out!
This has been really informative, have you heard of Vysor, I love using that in some of my classes
I have not, but I will be sure to check it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support!
TinEye looks really useful. I often get images sent to me with no clue where they are from, so this could be good! Thanks for recommending :D
No problem! Glad you might be able to find a use for this extension.
Congratulations! This post has been chosen as one of the daily Whistle Stops for The STEEM Engine!
