Speaking at Unity Christian High School
For my second weekly vlog, I got the great opportunity to speak with the kids at Unity Christian High School. I get to speak at many high schools all over the country, but it's always great getting the opportunity to openly share my faith at a school.
When I do public schools, I don't share anything about my faith. I do this for a couple of reasons:
#1 - I want to be respectful of students and staff that would rather not hear about religion
#2 - If I did share my faith, it may close the door for me to come back in the future, and also other Christian speakers to come back in the future. It's in situations like this where it's more effective to "be" a Christian, rather than try to tell other people about Christianity.
But with that said... it's great when I can be in front of an audience who I can encourage and inspire from an openly Christian worldview.
What are your thoughts of sharing your faith in a secular environment? Should you be bold and not care what others think? Or would you rather build relationship with people first?
