"Unspeakable JOY..." - Daily Word #51

JOY, JOY, JOY... what a nice feeling. Don't we all desire a little bit more JOY in our day to day life!! Here's a cool pictorial article 40 Ways to Find Joy in Your Everyday Life

When I think of the word JOY...I immediately think about little children, so carefree, so playful, so full of zest of life, going about their day exploring and celebrating life as it should be.

But then unfortunately, they grow up into conscious young men and women due to the conditioning of the serious/mature older folks. And because of all the 'stop playing around, stop laughing so loud, stop having so much fun, stop this and stop that, till the sounds of Joy dissipate.

The Bible talks about JOY in a different way.

One Key area of Joy (of a Christian) comes from the realization that no matter what happens on earth, we possess this reassurance that we are going to be with our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, forever and ever.

Yes, this JOY comes from Our Redemption!!!

And I guess that's why it is called the GOOD NEWS.

In 1 Peter 1:6-9 (The Passion Translation) it reads...

May the thought of this cause you to jump for JOY, even though lately you’ve had to put up with the grief of many trials. But these only reveal the sterling core of your faith, which is far more valuable than gold that perishes, for even gold is refined by fire. Your authentic faith will result in even more praise, glory, and honour when Jesus the Anointed One is revealed. Source

You love him passionately although you did not see him, but through believing in him you are saturated with an ECSTATIC JOY, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory. For you are reaping the harvest of your faith—the full salvation promised you—your souls’ victory! Source

Amazing passage of scripture.

You may not understand what it is all about in the above scripture. But this is the UNSPEAKABLE / ECSTATIC JOY. It is not merely a passing feeling or emotional experience, but a Supernatural Force (and Weapon) that can only be developed in the Presence of our Almighty God.

Here are verses from the Bible on JOY...

Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the JOY of the Lord is your strength. Source

Psalm 43:4 (NLT)

There I will go to the altar of God, to God – the source of all my JOY. Source

Acts 13:52 (NKJV)

And the disciples were filled with JOY and with the Holy Spirit. Source

Romans 15:13 (ESV)

May the God of hope fill you with ALL JOY and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Source

TRUE JOY comes from knowing Him

not just about Him, and it is all about having a Real Relationship with Him.

TRUE JOY does not come because of an external factor or internal feeling,
TRUE JOY comes from direct source -- GOD.

Psalm 16:11 (NLT)

You will show me the way of life, granting me the JOY of Your Presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Source

Are you ready to get in touch with JOY Himself?

Blessings & Shalom.
