"In Between..." - Daily Word #50

in #christian-trail7 years ago (edited)

Today I'm impressed by God to share with you the importance of the "In Between"...

The scripture is taken from Genesis 12:8 in the New Living Translation (NLT)

"After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord."

The 3 locations: Bethel (West)... Altar (In-Between)... Ai (East).

Bethel is the symbol of communion with the Lord (in the house of God).
Ai is the symbol of the world (and where the people in the marketplace are).
Abram pitched his tent (and altar) "In Between" the two locations.

As Followers of God Almighty we are all CALLED to Pitch our Tents and make a temporary dwelling, (not permanent/fixed dwelling)...just in case He calls us to another in-between location.

I believe we are called to INTERCEDE and be the meeting point of Transformation -- between the people of the world that God has called us to minister to and GOD Himself.

BETHEL | IN-BETWEEN | AI = WORSHIP | WAITING | WORK.

And it represents the 3 components of our Spiritual Life.

Are we truly bringing our Worship, in our Waiting (on the Lord) to the place of our Work?

That's why we need to be in the middle of that intersection where people will be able to SEE, HEAR, FEEL and KNOW God through our day-to-day living!!

We all have been given the mandate by Jesus to Reach Out and Disciple Nations. Amen?
I hope you are getting this picture LOUD and CLEAR.

I pray that this short sharing has boosted you to know -- that you are called to be an In-Between Minister for the Workplace that God has prepared for you (and only you) to do.

Ready to pitch your tent and set up your Altar? Over to you!

Blessings & Shalom.
