Learning to be a good leader. First part / Aprendiendo a ser un buen líder. Primera parte
As I mentioned in some of my posts, I'm a Business Manager, I'm not only passionate about doing business, but also managing, since my beginnings I understood that it's useless to have a lot of management knowledge if you're not a good leader, but, what is to be a good leader?
The first thing you should know is that a true leader is not the one who comes by imposition, but who has earned the respect of other people through their actions; It is an honor for others to follow him and support him in his decisions, because they trust that they are led by a good path. And this is the time to evaluate you: Do you think you are a good leader? Look around and answer: Do you have followers? Well, if you don't have them, there are things that you should evaluate, below any of them:
Respect: The value we give to people is fundamental in the exercise of our leadership. People like that their ideas are respected and taken into account, that makes them feel motivated. The way we guide people is crucial in the employment relationship, a good treatment must prevail over mistakes or circumstances, only then will respect remain.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Self-control: Sometimes we are faced with situations that usually make us change moods suddenly, and in these cases when we don't have self-control we are able to do and say things that we later regret. For me, one of the most difficult things that leaders must learn is to channel our emotions and dominate ourselves.
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control.
II Timothy 1:7.
Integrity: Doing the right thing in a world full of corrupt people is not easy, there are many wrong ways to do things, ways full of ease and money, but when we are people of integrity, we fear God and know that in his will is that we do the right thing, taking this path is simpler than we think.
And let us not get tired of well-doing; for at the right time we will get in the grain, if we do not give way to weariness. Galatians 6:9

Como les mencioné anteriormente en alguno de mis post, soy Gerente de Negocios, no solo me apasiona hacer negocios, sino también gerenciar, desde mis inicios comprendí que de nada sirve tener muchos conocimientos en gerencia si no eres un buen líder, pero, ¿de qué trata ser un buen líder?
Lo primero que debes saber es que un verdadero líder no es aquel que llega por imposición, sino quien se ha ganado el respeto de las otras personas a través de sus acciones; es un honor para los demás seguirle y apoyarlo en sus decisiones, pues confían en que son dirigidos por un buen camino. Y este es el momento de evaluarte, ¿crees que eres un buen líder? Mira a tu alrededor y responde: ¿tienes seguidores? Pues si no los tienes hay cosas que debes evaluar, a continuación alguna de ellas:
Respeto: El valor que les damos a las personas es fundamental en el ejercicio de nuestro liderazgo. A las personas les agrada que sus ideas sean respetadas y tomadas en cuenta, eso las hace sentirse motivadas. La forma en que nos dirigimos a las personas es crucial en la relación laboral, un buen trato debe prevalecer por encima de los errores o circunstancias, solo así permanecerá el respeto.
Y así como queréis que los hombres os hagan, haced con ellos de la misma manera.

Dominio propio: A veces nos enfrentamos con situaciones que suelen hacernos cambiar de ánimo repentinamente, y en estos casos cuando no tenemos dominio propio somos capaces de hacer y decir cosas de las que nos arrepentimos luego. Para mí, una de las cosas más difíciles que debemos aprender los líderes, es a canalizar nuestras emociones y dominarnos a nosotros mismos.
Pues Dios no nos ha dado un espíritu de timidez, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio. 2 Timoteo 1:7
Integridad: Hacer lo correcto en un mundo lleno de gente corrupta no es sencillo, hay muchas vías incorrectas para hacer las cosas, vías llenas de facilidad y de dinero, pero cuando somos personas íntegras, tenemos temor de Dios y conocemos que en su voluntad está que hagamos lo correcto, tomar este camino es más sencillo de lo que pensamos.
Y no nos cansemos de hacer el bien, pues a su tiempo, si no nos cansamos, segaremos.
