After Maserati 3500 GT Spider, another great Maserati is heading to the auction block through RM Sotheby's in London next month, this stunning 1970 Ghibli 4.7 Spyder for about £ 400,000.

And in the News Section the partnership between Porsche and Boeing for a flying car concept !

History of the Maserati Ghibli

The Maserati Ghibli was named after a hot wind of the Libyan desert. It was presented in 1966 during the Turin Motor Show based on a design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, Italian designer working at Carrozzeria Ghia. The production of the coupé began in 1967 and in 1969 for the open-top spyder.

This model is one of 125 Ghibli spyders built. The Ghibli becomes one of the best Italian automobiles of its times with the Lamborghini Miura and the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta :
Number 9 of the Top Sports Cars of the 60's by the American magazine Sports Car International.

This Maserati Ghibli has 4,719 cc V-8 engine that can produce 330 hp. It was fitted originally with an automatic transmission but during its restoration in 2015, a five-speed manual gearbox was installed. Better...

This model is finished in Giallo over a black leather interior. It was one of the finest open GT cars ever produced by Maserati. Beautiful, especially the interior...

Thanks again for sharing a beautiful car, @heroldius.

The (classic) Ghibli ranks as one of my favourite Maseratis, next to the Khamsin.

Also, I had intended to reply to your previous posts on the 3500 GT and DB6, but I ran out of Steem (Credits). I didn't fully know then how Steemit worked :(

There is a Khamsin during this auction if you want one, only £ 50,000 :-)

Don't worry for the previous posts...

I don't think I'll be able to afford one anytime soon :(

Granted, 50K isn't a bad price at all for a classic Italian GT car.

We don't know the price of Steem at the end of month :-)

Ha! True...if the price of Steem shoots up, then we might all be buying up Italian classics soon :)
