History of Chevrolet Corvette
In the 1950s, US wanted to compete with Europe in order to do the most popular sports cars. Engineers for General Motors with Harley Earl, legendary American automotive designer, worked on a project to design cars with a fiberglass body. They spent more than $1.5 million, a huge sum for this era. It was the birth of the prototype EX-122, presented in 1953.
Big success during the presentation, so GM started the production in june 1953 with 300 Corvettes completed. This model is the 147th of the first year of the Corvette.
Technical Specification
The 1953 Chevrolet Corvette has a Blue Flame OHV inline six-cylinder engine deleviring 150 hp with three single-barrel Carter carburetors and to stop the beast, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. For the bodywork. very nice design with this color scheme Polo White with an interior in red leather with AM Radio and heater.
