History of Jaguar E-Type

The E-Type was unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show with a 3.8-litre six-cylinder Jaguar XK6 engine. An immediate success... Enzo Ferrari was even rumoured to have told "the most beautiful car ever made". The model was produced between 1961 and 1975 in three series with technological improvements learned in racing from the D-Type.

Technical Specification

In 1964, the 3.8 litre engine was upgraded to 4.2 litre DOHC inline six cylinder engine delivering 265 hp for a top speed of 241 kmh. The 1968 E-Type comes with synchronized four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension. Estimate price : $90,000 - $120,000.
