🌸 Desert.plants.passion / Cacti Flowering for the First Time (2)
Gymnocalycium baldianum
I have a lot of G. baldianums. Some seeds came from my own plants, and some seeds are from Croatian cacti enthusiast F. Lovreković. Those you can see in the photos have grown from his seeds, and are three years old. These are not all baldianums that I have, of course. And just don’t ask me why I have so many of them! 😊

Few years ago I was fascinated by red-flowered cacti. At that stage I sowed a multitude of red-flowered Aylosteras. Sometimes I ask myself: Oh my God, why? Now, in spring, I have attack of hundreds of red flowers! 😉 Here, on the photos are few young seedlings, sowed three years ago.
It is expected from Aylosteras to flower in third year after sawing. There are only one or two flowers now, but they show the will of future stunning bloom already.
Aylostera pulchella v. prolifera WR 597
Aylostera valegradensis
Aylostera flavistila FR 756
For the end here is one of my Lobivia seedlings. I didn’t expect any of them to flower this year already. They are only 3 years old! This one was a real surprise 😊

@andrijana
Bravo! This is precisely why I am scared to sow the cactus seeds that I have ;)
Hahhaha :)
I want to have many plants. I will build them a glasshouse and enjoy rest of my life in them. :)
That's my ambition, too! Although at least the climate here makes a glass house unnecessary, I am able to grow outside all year round
Oh my, so tiny and already bloom! The flower is so huge comparing to them :) My type of cacti - cute, round with "safe" spines.
P.S. So you sell seeds?
I have excess seeds what is left to me this year after sowing. All germinted very well to me. What I have left is: Neoporteria huascensis, Neoporteria oculta, Epithelanta micromeris and mexicensis, Notocactus otonis, some Mammillarias, Anacampseros rufescens and filamentosa... I can give it to you. For free. Just because I see you have patience to sow cacti. I would like that their life continues in good hands.
Plants, that young seedlings, that I can sell under some reasonable price.
Wooww are you serious? I would buy them :) They are all lovely, especially the white ones (can't really see the difference between those two).
What seedlings? I generally like the ones with no spines or short/softer spines.
Is there a way to contact you on Discord or FB? We need to talk business :)
Discord (ARTzONE, slothicorn, Steem Artists, Curie ...) will be ok.
:)
I will prepare a list of seedlings today.
Congratulations!
Beautiful cacti!
I also have several identical cacti.
Cactus Hamatocactus setispinus I have 7 pieces!
He has a very pleasant aroma!
Yes, that is true! You have noticed that! :) I know many people growing cacti, and have never noticed how many of them have wonderful fragrance.
Astrophytum myriostima, Mammillaria surculosa.... etc.
Btw I have 4 Hamatocactus setispinus!
What a coincidence!
I now put a post about him with photos !!!
I have it 7!
