Banco de Tailandia realiza con exito su primera transacción Blockchain
En la actualidad sigue el debate sobre la tecnología de contabilidad distribuida para la facilitación de operaciones. Muchos bancos se encuentran a favor de dicha tecnología, mientras que otros se muestran rotundamente en desacuerdo sobre los riesgos que ello implica. Dentro de tanto debate el Banco de Tailandia ha logrado realizar su primera transacción transfronteriza usando la plataforma de blockchain.
Dentro de los detalles de la operación realizada por el banco se resalta que el proceso fue efectuado en conjunto con el banco MUFG, el cual es la Corporación Mitsubishi y el Standard Chartered Bank en Singapur la herramienta utilizada como intermediaria fue la interledger de la blockchain de Krungsri.
El proceso que fue realizado desde la cuenta de Krungsri de Mitsubishi a la cuenta del banco en Singapur a largo plazo podrán implementar mejoras en la eficiencia de la gerencia de liquidez, así como una reducción de costos asociados a los procesos usuales.
