I am putting together a 'newbie guide' for ways users can spend their hard earned STEEM/SBD. In the comments below, please send me links to posts that provide ways for users to spend their STEEM/SBD. The payout rules for earning the bounty SBDs are described below.
Examples:
- A post explaining how to buy items from Peerhub using STEEM/SBD
- A post explaining how to load a debit card with STEEM/SBD
- A post showing users how to play dice with their STEEM/SBD
Rules:
- It must contain a link to a post describing a way for users to spend/use their STEEM or SBD.
- It must still be a valid/working way to use STEEM/SBD.
- The post must have some form of instruction telling the user how to use their STEEM or SBD to make the purchase.
- If there are duplicates (i.e. two posts about Peerplays), whoever posted the first link will be awarded.
- A link about sending to an exchange is still a valid link, but those will only be awarded $0.50 SBD. (One award per exchange.)
- All other valid links will be awarded $1.00 SBD.
- The bounty is open until the payout of this post closes.
- All payouts will be made within 24 hours of the post closing.
- Users are allowed to post as many links as they want.
Note - the three examples I listed above are all still 'valid' so whoever gets to them first will get a 'freebie' ;)
You can use SBD on TradeQwik to exchange for other cryptocurrencies:
https://steemit.com/vivacoin/@sykochica/have-you-heard-about-vivacoin
Cool, thanks!
You can send SBD over to @blocktrades for exchange into other cryptocurrencies :)

Wait for it... :)))
@blocktrades
#votebeg
lol, seriously. Blocktrades is a good service to quickly convert SBD into most anything else you like :)
I enjoy using @blocktrades
Just look at my wallet! Nothing to brag about...
Just being Frank ;)
Thanks!
Great idea!
Thanks!
Helloooooo @timcliff !
I have
twothree ways to show how to spend SBD/Steem:Disclaimer: I'm a partner in it
I'm sure there are many more and will update this comment as they come in! Thanks for doing this! :)
Edited: for typo's . Also, my recent growth-idea which I hope I'll get some help on and will be ready by the time you post this guide :)
And now for another one! LOL:)
How could we forget SteemDice by @pharesim .

Wow, thanks for your generosity.
Welcome - thanks for providing the info!!
You're welcome
Thank you so much.
Thank you kindly Sir.
(tips hat)
Here is way to get anything from Amazon with STEEM - like purse.io https://steemit.com/steem/@richardcrill/steem-purse-get-10-of-anything-from-amazon-with-steem
Cool stuff!
I keep them in my wallet.
It growing more.
When I upvotes you , you will have more so do I.
Hehe, good one. If you can find (or create) a good post describing how users can keep their STEEM/SBD instead of spending it, and how it might be worth more some day - I'll count it ;)
Great idea! I have previously written a post about loading a debit card in Europe. Hopefully that might be of some use?
https://steemit.com/life/@meesterboom/easy-bitcoin-to-cash-withdrawal
Sweet, thanks!
Note to other participants - if there are other debit cards that work similarly, I will consider each one a unique entry.
SWEET DUDE! :)
Cheers man!
This is an oldie, but I assume it's still a goodie.

@shayne has done several avatars for the Steemit Community...for a nominal fee of course! :D

Here’s two options I thought of:
changelly
Steemsports paid play pool
Very cool! Thanks :)
Good stuff, recently wrote about bitwala following meeting them at CeBIT: https://steemit.com/blockchain/@uwelang/cebit-highlights-blockchain-steem-and-dash - my article includes a bit on their debit card:
"Bitwala has launched the world’s leading Bitcoin prepaid card which you can top with bitcoin and a lot other altcoins including steem. For now you can pay everywhere with the card where they accept VISA. "
While that not counts yet the following by bitwala might - https://steemit.com/steemit/@teambitwala/bitwala-is-now-accepting-steem
Cool, thanks!

Thanks!
I don't know if this link would qualify?
https://steemit.com/vote/@olisan/miss-steemit-2017-contest-proposal
Cool link, but it doesn't seem to be a way for users to spend their STEEM/SBD.
Donating or tipping other users?
Good one. It's technically not a post, but I'll count it :)
Thanks
I'd love to give an explanation of how I use a credit card with SBD. Yet, I don't want to ruin my profile's theme. PM me @ steemit.chat if you'd like to know.
I'm on my phone, so I don't have access to Steemit chat at the moment, but you can send the info to my account (@TimCliff) and I'll get it this weekend.
Still, not worthy of a "post".
Get a bitcoin credit card, exchange your shitcoins for Bitcoins, charge the card: Magic
Any posts that describe to new users how to do that with STEEM or SBD are eligible.
post promotion here on steemit is a great use of sbd
here is a post i wrote a while back when i realised I had been spending digital currency regularly without even knowing it.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@eroche/steemit-the-first-online-economy
Edit: nvm I didn't even read the post properly.
It needs to be links to actual posts with those items :)
haha you were fast :p
XD just kidding, no need to reward me.
I'mma think about it and get back to this thread later. :)
And here I've just spent half the morning encouraging newbies to save their steem, not to spend it!!!
Hehe. Saving is really great too, and I would encourage the same - but having a wide variety of things that users can do with their coins adds a lot of value to the ecosystem, and will help a lot with mainstream adoption.
Agreed! One of the guys I talked to has been on here for less than a month and has accumulated less than $20... I told him I thought saving might be the wisest move at this point.
Yeah, I really didn't cash out anything until I got to be dolphin status. I'd rather have thousands of STEEM coins for if the price ever reaches BTC levels, than a few extra bucks in my pocket :)
Exactly! I'm still a minnow (around 3000 SP) climbing my way up. Considering that all I have is sweat equity, I'm very happy with the results overall. That's why I advise newbies to stay the course.
Man, peerhub just can't get no respect,...
https://www.peerhub.com/items/7433-1982-gs650gl
Hehe. Do you have a newbie friendly post about using Peerhub? Someone still hasn't claimed the 'freebie' yet!
You'll have to tell me, does this one qualify?
https://steemit.com/marketplace/@freebornsociety/instead-of-cashing-out-your-steem-buy-something
You can send it to them, if it does.
Sure
Excellent idea!
I'm not sure if this counts but I'll leave it up to you to decide: https://steemit.com/work4steem/@elementm/services-i-ll-provide-for-steem
Sure :)
And thanks for the bounty :)
Welcome!
Yay! :D
Does using it for lottery count? There's one run by @fasl.
I was going to mention @steemshop but it's been covered.
I've also seen people asking to do translation and paying by SDB.
One recent one is @williambanks
Yep $100 SBD bounty for an English translation of a news article that featured VIVA.
Ho ho.... and I won the last lottery. woo hoo....
https://steemit.com/steemit/@fasl/fasl201704210220344390
Those all sound good. If you can provide links to posts, I'll count them.
The lottery happens every 6 hour.
All from https://steemit.com/@fasl
Current latest is https://steemit.com/steemit/@fasl/fasl201704212020416841

Cool, thanks!
You're welcome.
Check this out too.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@luzcypher/seeking-community-feedback-on-an-idea-would-you-offer-or-pay-for-a-service-with-steem-or-steem-dollars
Very cool. It technically doesn't qualify b/c it is not something users can spend their STEEM/SBD on (yet), but I would love to see it happen! Thanks for the link :)
You're welcome. Just hooking things together.
Found another one!
