1000 ideas, and only one needs to be the one

in #bookchain8 years ago

Okay, had a night sleep, not saying it was a good one, about that BookChain idea. Still think it would be awesome to get linking together our community creativity. A chain on a blockchain, by co-operation, collaborating in an artistic way. But when I woke up at 6 this morning, bathing in sweat, I felt insecure again. What if the way I was going about it was too far fetched?

Starting with the end, needs a well described finish to create a prequal right? Still think the idea of a creative chain is something that could take off here at the Steem ON Graphene {SONG} blokchain. And I will come back to describing the reasoning behind starting with an epilogue. But that is a side post, a segwit if you will.

So, please bare with and share your thoughts on this one. Could this linked creativity start from an end situation or is it better to start a story and let it Rock n Roll from that point on?

If you wonder what that Bookchain is about:

@oaldamster "farfetched?" hmmm..
starting at the end is okay - think "Star Wars"
The movie the Grudge - not in order - more interesting ;)
you're doing just fine

Ah yes @englishtchrivy that is true.
Thanks for the feedback and support. :-)

I dunno, I think it is a novel thing to start at the end. Sometimes when you start at the beginning it can hare off in utterly random ways. Not necessarily a bad thing but I think it will be more interesting to see how the threads of the beginning are gathered together to form the cohesion of the ending!

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.

It is indeed a novelty this way, as far as I know. And it needs time to create prequals that fit the storyline.

It will be interesting to see and fun how this unfolds backwards. At least I'm curious on how this evolves.

Okay, that really helped me. Have a great weekend!

You too!! I love Fridays!

Thanks! Yes, Friday is one of the most joyfull days of the week! Weekend still has to take off :-)

Thank you for posting @oaldamster. Lovely photograph. To answer your query.....a beginning can have many endings...freedom to choose the direction....a finite ending may have many paths to get there however the course is determined by the ending...therefore not as much freedom to chart the course...if you will. One....a predetermined ending, the other open ended.

Based on that premise....one would choose a beginning in order to have more creative freedom....make sense?

All the best. A bientot.

Thank you @bleujay for your reply. It makes sense, but I'm also charmed by the original idea. That too could make some very creative storylines for instance. Totaly unexpected plottwists that in the end still fit the epilogue that started it all.

So, maybe there is room for both point of views. Also flash forwards and backwards could could create some plottwists.

Just linking before the 'epilogue' something like: "...and while I looked around, taking in the images of what was left behind, my mind wandered back to how this all started..."

Now that could start a future story for instance as a prequal.

Thinking out loud here, triggered by @meesterboom and your reply :-)

All the best, have a great weekend.!

Tot later.
