Here is my very short how to check list

1/ SEO

Set up your articles correctly for SEO. You can do some pretty cool things in the markdown code that will help you rank better. Employ H tags, add it sub titles, that cover keyword variations. 2/ LINK OUT TO AUTHORITY SITES

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is not linking out to authority sites. What is the point of Google Search? It's to give the end user the most relevant information for their search request. Let's think about this for a second.
Let's say you write a Steemit post called "How To Make Ice Cream"

A visitor goes to your page and reads and that is it.

But what if you then link out to resources in your article, different methods or ideas for creating Ice Cream, types of Ice Cream. Where to buy ingredients. Google looks at your article and sees that you are:

1/ qualifying what you are writing and

2/ offering the user more very useful information and continuing the flow of information.

And Google really likes this.
Just look at any authority site and you will see that they link to competitors and they link within their own site. Google hates dead ends.

3/ SHARE YOUR POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

It's simple just share to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google, everywhere. Light a traffic fire under your content
