The Cottage Experience
I have said it a few times on here as I recall including my first post ever. One of my major life goals is to own a cottage. My family has never been well off or really every needed to be. That being the case, a luxury like a cottage has seen such a distant and unattainable thing. Prices are going up with the population and securing a mortgage on a luxury is not easy to do. That's not gonna stop me and it is entrepreneurship and Crypto that is gonna get me there.
The feeling that I get when I sit my ass out on a dock and stare out onto the lake feels like my spinning universe locks into place. The weight that lifts off my shoulders when I have that seat is so real and the grief I experience as I have to leave for home is even more heavy. In addition to that, the memories I can create for the kids and the property I can leave for future generations of family as some small legacy is unreal.
So, every time I get a chance to horn in on someone else's cottage, I don't hesitate and I cherish it. Dream building as they call it.
That's the first picture I snapped on my most recent trip to a family cottage. Hadn't been there in a while due to circumstances and family complexities. I haven't blogged about it yet because of other more pressing subjects and the fact that I chose to post about the beer war that happened first. https://steemit.com/beersaturday/@zekepickleman/epic-beer-battle More entertaining. The funny part is that the dog that was brought up by the owner of the cottage bolted right from the car the first time the door was opened, across the property, straight to the dock and right into the lake. I can relate to his enthusiasm and single-minded focus on arriving properly.
Here are a few more shots that I can share in hopes of sharing the beauty of the place, and my passion to make this dream happen for my family.
The kids splashing around, getting some good cousin time, and creating memories that will stick with them for life.
That endless perfect sky is something else.
Of course the beer.
Everything is a path to more beer for the beer lover.
Is it cousin fatigue or deep reflection?
The simple rustic decorations seem to hint at how simple life can be.
Even the textures of the surroundings seem so intricate and meaningful.
Then there is the excitement and adrenaline of motor water sports!
The joys of cooperation and self propelled travel are what dreams are made of as well.
Sit back, breath in the @davedickeyyall life and marvel at the intricate tapestry right above the lawn chair.
