I Quit Eating for 28 Days

To Lose Weight
For Better Health
To Attain an Elevated State of Consciousness
To be more like Jesus, for Jesus Fasted for 40 days

I Ran Out Of Money.

I took a Leap of Faith with Steemit, and it didn't turn out so well, so I started fasting.


Day 20 of 28


Ahhh back to the land of the living.

I have just consumed my first bit of calories in 17 days for dinner! As I said yesterday, I am going to go through exactly what I had and also my before and after photos since begininng. Ohhhh, this is going to be a interesting post.

Here is Day 1 vs Day 20 :

I already know some people will be up in arms about how my weight loss seems unhealthy, and I am not oblivious to the fact that you can string my ribs like a guitar, I actually very much beg to differ.

I estimate I am currently around 8-9% body fat. The reason I look like this is not because a body fat percentage 8-9% is unhealthy, rather, I have a lack of muscle while have a rather large bone mass. Some well-muscled individual at 8-9% body fat will looks something like this :

Doesn't seem to unhealthy to me.

The human body, ideally wants to be around 7-10% body fat and is what is considered healthy. It is also around 7-10% body fat that building muscle is most optimal. Unhealthy is more in the range of 4-6% body fat.

Which, based on the example above, him being at 4-5% body fat usually lasts a grand toal of a day, only to rehydrate and refeed right back to around 8% body fat. That is what body-builders routines are like when they prepare for a show.

As such, I would say, I am happy to be at the body fat percentage, and will now focus more towards building additional muscle from this point.


Breaking My Fast Like a Champion

Now, here comes the part which I was bragging about how I do not "Fuck Around" yesterday. So here is how I am repopulating my gut.

Here is the most epic blend I could concoct :

Starting with Veggies

  • Lettuce
  • Spinach
  • Mixed Salad

For a general blend of fibre and range of micronutrients

  • Pickles for probiotic properties
  • Olives for some natural fat
  • Huge serving of Sauerkraut for probiotic bomb

Fruits

  • Apples for some natural sugar and fibre
  • Blueberries and Berry blend for antioxidants and range of micronutrient profile
  • Tomatos for, really because I had them, that's all.

Additional Supplementation

  • ORAC-Energy Blend for a massive range of micronutrients with a blend of 60 different greens, fruits and even mushrooms. Highly recommend this product.

  • Chorophyll to up the amount of sheer green in the blend

  • Moringa and Sprulina to add just an even wider range of micronutrient profile while having some antioxidants and even plant protein in the mix

  • Sour Cream, the package in white, for further range of probiotics

  • Chia Seeds, on top of the ORAC, for Omega 3s and Fibre

Let me tell you, the taste, is just as sexy as it looks.

Of course it tasted like ass, anyone could have expected that one. Nonetheless, I care so very much to do this is an optimized manner that I will take it like a champ for a little while.


Back To The Land Of The Living

I started out the meal with some Beef Marrow Bone Broth with some Himalayan Sea Salt, just to let my stomach ease into it, and line the gut with some fat, which helps absorption.

I did not expect that it would be as uncomfortable as it was. Took me a good 20 minutes to finish the broth as my stomach had to restart and get used to having something in it again.

I then proceeded to consume my blend of death, or life, depending on how you're looking at it, especially considering all the live bacteria in it.

I sorely overestimated how much my stomach was able to consume in my first sitting and managed to finish about only a quarter of what I made.

I will continue having it tomorrow, but today, I was a little conservative on adding some things into the blend as I did not want to be over-zealous and negatively impact my gut. I will be adding more ingredients into the blend tomorrow and continue chugging along for the next 3 days.

Overall, I still feel pretty much the same right now, however I think it's a little early to tell. I think I'd feel a little different tomorrow.

Overall, I think I'm doing quite alright. That's all for today!

Hey again!! Haha sorry I dropped off the planet, after this post, I sort of got too caught up in the whirlwind of packing and moving from Sweden to Germany, and then from Germany back home. Which is my lousy excuse for not keeping up. Haha.

Thank you very much for your concern about my well being! After my initial refeed, which I posted here, I continued to adjust back to a regular diet very well. I gained quite some weight back after, which makes sense.

I wish I could have gone longer than that because I really didn't find it any harder to do so at that point. I just wanted to make sure I had my refeed on my terms, before leaving Sweden, where my food choices will be much less in my control.

Overall, I will definitely say it was a damn worthwhile experience and I expect to do another in the future, maybe for longer.
