Beautifully Sublime
This is my entry for the #beautifulsunday challenge, hosted by @ace108 and for #sublimesunday by @c0ff33a.
It is another hot summer day here in southern Wisconsin, so for my Sunday photos I am not going to do anything more ambitious than look through my photo archives and share some photos with you from a few years ago of a late summer drive through the Big Horn mountains in Wyoming.
We drove US 16, often called The Sweet 16, which is the southern route through this Rocky Mountain range.
Up above the tree line-
Hope you enjoyed the views and the fresh mountain air!

This is an amazing landscape and you catched it perfectly in your photography!
Thanks! It is so beautiful there!
I want to go jump in that river. Is it cold? I hope so : )
It is indeed cold! It is probably solid ice most of the year! Kind of hot out there, huh?
Hot and crowded. This is a tough time of year for me. Another 2 to 3 months
Beautiful @melinda010100 When we lived in Minnesota, we drove to the Rockies each summer. I miss the cool, fresh mountain air.
We probably traveled beside you on I-90!
Thank you for your contribution to the "pc-nature" tag

Love these photos, Melinda! I remember my last trip through there in 2016... it's an amazing area! Resteemed :)
Thanks, Keith. I do love the Bighorns. I spent a lot of time there in the 70's and early 80's and it was interesting to go back and see how things have changed.
The first picture really reminded me of the Devil's Tower I visited several years ago.
I have tons of photos of Devils Tower. This is the mountain range you come to after you leave the Tower heading West. Only about 100 miles from the Tower.
Ah, so you must have been there quite a number of times.
I was out there many times in the 70's and 80's, and was happy to go back recently and see it all again. What did you see and visit on your trip?
It must be early 90's. Main thing in my memory was crazy people were climbing that thing. :-)
This landscape is part of my imaginary! I hope we can make some trips when I visit you! Sweet Melinda!
This is a huge country! I hope you can come for the whole summer!
You bet, sweetie! I'll stay until I get an eviction order from you :D!
