Colombia Part 21 - Our Way back by boat visiting 3 beaches of Tayrona National Park in just one day! (Photos + Videos)
After surviving this horrible night at Cabo San Juan, the next day we decided to leave the park by boat. Normally the only way to do that is booking a one way transfer directly to Taganga port together with 20 others, but I spoke to the guy organizing the trips and made a deal to have a private boat, visiting 3 beaches before arriving in Taganga in the late evening: Playa Cinto, Playa Cristal & Playa Concha
So at 8:00 am it was just Kathi, Peter, Julia (an argentinian girl that we invited to come with us), El Capitán, his assistent, about 60 beers, a joint, some Chips, Water and me, when we entered the boat.
The weather was perfect and innocent :D - Looking at that perfect cloudless sky you wouldn´t imagine that a thunderstorm like the day before and the cold coming with it would be possible in this region! - So we just enjoyed the heat and the wind, while we were on the way to our first beach: Playa Cinto!
Here we opened our first beers and enjoyed the sun at the beach! There are plenty of dreamy places in Tayrona Park. The clear blue sky was reflected in the water, that was calm as a pool. There was complete peace, green vegetation, gentle Caribbean breeze blowing and silence. It is impossible to get stressed here.
After a while we went back on the boat heading to our next destination: Playa Cristal!!
Here of course we also jumped into the cristal clear water of this beautiful almost virgin beach!!
The main reason to stop here was lunch though. Here you can find still really basic restaurants, that get their fish super fresh from the sea for you, while someone played life reggae music at the beach. - For some of us this was the perfect moment to put on the joint.
So we shared one fish, ate cookies and avocado :D
After a short break we went on with the boat to our last stop: Bahia Concha! - Where we could do some snorkeling and enjoy the diversity of Tayronas underwater world!
The park counts with 202 species of sponges, 471 species of crustaceans, 96 species of annelids, 700 species of molluscs, 110 species of corals and 401 species of sea and river fish.
There are more than 350 types of algae. Unfortunately the water was not that clear out there, because of the storm the day before.. but we still saw a lot of different fish.
Here we stayed for a few hours more enjoying the empty beaches of the caribbean just for a little longer.
Just before the sun began to come down jumped on the boat again and started our way to taganga bay to see the sunset from the boat and arrive just after. Bahia Concha was already really close ... the ride took maybe 30 min.
From Taganga beach we enjoyed watching the end of the sunset, drinking a last beer of this long, exhausting but awesome day!
I´ve already seen many beaches in my life! These ones were maybe not that beautiful as the ones in Mexico or Cuba, but still very nice and totally empty!!
As it is really hard to get there, we were almost the only ones enjoying their beauty. So our day was just perfect and really special! - I just think its hard these times to find a beach like that without people living there and tourism destroying it already... and we just saw 3 beaches like that in one day!!! - I hope they stay like this!!
As always I hope you enjoyed reading my post and I am grateful for every Upvote, Resteem and Comment, as you are supporting my travels with it!!
Cheers,
Liz

i know colombia is so nice
Its a special country and there is soo much to see!! I love it.
looks like a pretty special day. fire.
It was! I always wanted to rent a boat and just go along the cost with it, visiting random empty beaches in the caribbean! It was really awesome.
nice beaches :-)
i imagine it's a fairly reasonable price to rent a boat for the day?
Hey there! Haven´t seen you in a while! All good?! Yes! All in all we payed like 50 USD /person, beers and chips etc. included! I learned that if you speak spanish in Colombia you can always organize something ;)

It looks like an amazing adventure to the beaches. You are having so much fun, it brings a smile to my face.
It was really cool!! We had a great time at the boat!Aaand didn´t have to walk back the 6 hours again to the parks entrance :D so it was a big WIN! I am glad you like my blog and come back every time to read it! :) Hope everything is still fine over there too! Take care.
Nice fish :D
Thx ;) Pretty heavy ! - I am sure I got some muscles holding it up :D
Looks like it - at least you didnt have to catch it yourself. The eating is the easy part!
Thats right :D And it was really tasty :D
It is really tough to see beaches like that on a winter day like TODAY😎
I bet the winter in Munich is way worse than here ;) - Maybe the sun of my pictures can make you feel a bit warmer ;)
What an amazing beach day!! I love that you shared the entire thing with us, well, except maybe the joint. ;)
I didnt smoke it, but I think it is important to know that in this part of colombia the drug consume is pretty common.. Ive seen a lot of people smoking joints and taking cocaine here.. but I never tried it myself.
