Ameerah is recovering
I had been feeling a little depressed the past few days due to my little angel not feel well. She had her second vaccination on Thursday the 12th. Even though I knew that she would be feeling a little under the weather because of it, I didn't expect that recovery would take a while. She is a strong girl and I always love playing with her when I am at home, watching her smile but those four days had been quite rough on me.
She had a fever on Friday which went up to 38 degrees Celsius but it didn't last long, and I was feeling happy that she was okay. Little did I know that was only the start of it. She hadn't fully regained her strength yet and I guess part of that was because of tropical storm Odette. The storm entered Philippines area of responsibility sometime late evening on Thursday and didn't leave until Sunday. She was already weak from the vaccine shots and the cold weather didn't help.
Late Friday night she started having coughs by this time she had no fever so I thought it was just the change in weather. It was out of my expectation that this cough would cause her even more pain. It pained me to see her in that state, she was weak and even her cries had lost their usual strength.
Sometime Saturday, I can't quite recall when exactly but she started throwing up phlegm from time to time. This didn't seem like a good sign to me but there wasn't much I could do about it, I didn't know why she was coughing and throwing up. I researched online and couldn't find much information on the topic. Since she wasn't vomiting very much we decided to cover her in a lot of warm clothing to protect her from the cold.
Things went downwards on Sunday, she was looking weaker and throwing up even more. My heart was in my mouth now and I couldn't understand why she was vomiting and coughing so much. The weather wasn't good so we couldn't take her to the doctor. It was raining and I couldn't risk her getting wet, she might get sicker.
Thankfully, the weather got better on Monday and we were able to take her to doctor for a check-up. All the doctor said was that she had a mild cold and prescribed three different medicines for her. She is only two months old and getting three different medicines for a mild cold?
I asked my wife to give her a steam bath to help clear her clogged nose even though we were still going to give her the prescribed medicines. The last three days she had kept both me and my wife up the whole night with her cries of pain but last night she slept like a log. Her coughs had gone down and she hasn't vomited at all. She has regained some of the strength she lost since the vaccination and is feeling much better today.
Seeing her smiling again and playing around lifted my spirits. It was like a huge load had been lifted from my chest, it's good to see her playing and the color returning to her. I don't want to see her getting sick anymore, I know that is wishful thinking but I still hope that I will never have to see her sick like this again.
We haven't taken any new pictures of baby Ameerah yet so I am sorry I have nothing new to share but I will be taking some more soon. I will be sure to share her progress with you in a few days, there are only a few days to go before she turns three months old. Here is one of her old pictures for you guys to keep you company. :)

The "doctors" of the modern world. I really do not know what they are going to school for as only thing they usually do is prescribe drugs. Nothing else really. I have stopped going to doctors for a long time and use only natural medicine for the past 3-4 years and my health has never been better.
I remember they tried to give me antibiotics for a simple throat infection. I had to go there because the club was afraid it will affect my performance on the court as we played in 3 days. I refused the antibiotics as they tend to destroy your immune system and turned to my mom's tea which she picks personally from the forest. Day and a half and 1l of tea later I was good as new. :)
I am glad your child had gotten better. Not easy to be a parent when your child is sick. Glad all worked out great for you. :)

Yeah I understand that..I mean seriously..she is only two months old and you are going to prescribe a lot of medicines? Can you not tell me something else to do? Give me a more natural approach. There is a saying when you take medicine to recover from a sickness..you have to recover twice. Once from the sickness and the second time from the effects of the medicine...

I really can't give you advice about babies my friend since I am not a parent or ever taken care of a baby.
What I use are my mom's tea's and I drink the mixture of 2 oranges, 1 lemon, and a teaspoon of powder ginger in 2l of water. Which I drink during the day but not all at once when I have a soar throat or just as a prevention to clean my body. As ginger is extremely anti-bacterial and a great anti-oxidant. Plus when you combine it with lemon and orange it takes it to another level.
But, for the kids, I am not sure my friend. I don't want to give you advice I am not sure about. I can only give advice about something I used for myself. Since I don't have kids. I am sorry I can't be more helpful. I just know one thing if he prescribing 3 medicine for one thing he is not a doctor. He is just making his quota to sell that specific drug and get his bonus. Nothing else.
Maybe do some research on the internet for natural alternatives for babies to help with this problem. Dr. Mercola is a good source of information and alternative medicine.

It is NO FUN when our kids get sick. Glad the medicine was able to help out somewhat. Hope she stays well for a good long time! Vaccines are no fun and neither is bad weather! #theunmentionables
