When the Sun Moves Through Scorpio -- It means something to everyone

The Season of Scorpio

When the Sun passes through Scorpio -- which it does every year between about October 23 and November 22 -- it marks a time of reflection and inner assessment. You can work with this natural set of themes by design -- and get a heck of a lot more out of it when it comes to living consciously and understanding your place in the world.

Or, like most people, you can assign this piece of critical psychological growth to the background ... where it takes place on the inner realms of your being. That way, you don't have to be bothered with it. You don't have to acknowledge that it's happening. You don't have to understand it on purpose in any way.

You don't have to even admit that it's real. You can continue to just muddle through -- and be cool with that. But this assessment happens regardless. In fact, it's unavoidable. As a spiritual being, you are a part of this process of growth and evolution, whether you like it or not.

One of my favorite things

I've always found the process of knowing myself, understanding myself, fascinating. So much that I like to understand that kind of depth about everyone who's important to me, too. (In fact, I'm almost narcissistically obsessed with it. To the point that I'm sometimes self-conscious about how closely I study and observe the people I know.)

Socrates spoke as a profoundly kindred soul when he said -- "The unexamined life is not worth living." To which I can only answer, Amen. Fervently.

Time to assess

So ... during Scorpio, you take stock of yourself -- and all that's important in your life, especially the relationships you depend on and the communal investments you need for survival. Survival is one big damn deal to Scorpio. The seasons are changing.

In the Northern Hemisphere, Winter is coming -- and you need to make it through those months until Spring returns ... again. In the Southern Hemisphere, you'll be emerging from Winter ... and you need to get ready for the year's work ahead.

What's changed?

It's time to consider how you've changed since the last Season of Scorpio. It's time to consider how you may need to change further -- to become the person you need to be to continue this Journey of Life. Change is the one constant thing Life brings to us all -- and in Scorpio, that fact comes home with a vengeance.

We cast off the parts of us that are worn out -- the tired and no-longer-appropriate self-image, the useless ideas, the projects that are never going to come to fruition, the connections and commitments that are no longer useful -- and that are too hard and too heavy to carry further.

We break connections. We close out investments. We cut our losses -- or harvest our profits ... and move on. We replace, renew, renegotiate, revise.

A time of death and resurrection

Scorpio is the phase of serious editing in the Creative Process of Life. What we take from it into the future are the things we've judged we will for certain need some time between now and next year.

This process of culling and improvement takes place regularly -- for everyone -- around this time of year. Every year. Year after year. It affects -- almost certainly -- two specific areas of your life.

It's happening to everyone

The slice of the circle covered by Scorpio in your horoscope shows where this is happening and what will be most affected.

It will be different for everyone -- and what happens there (and during this time) will be different, too. It's an essential part of Life's complexity -- and its beauty ... and its value.

For me, it's here

For me, the Season of Scorpio brings a major transformation in my goals for the future. It sweeps out the projects and commitments that aren't returning a decent reward. It refocuses my vision of the future I want to create and the kind of world I want to help shape.

It may change the people I'm associated with professionally -- and the like-minded thinkers I want to line up with instead. It adjusts and improves my philosophy of where we need to go and what we need to do next ... as a society. It defines the part I think I'm to play in that.

And it's happening now

A huge amount of Scorpio's work, however, for me takes place backstage, behind the scenes -- inwardly, in the background of life. Much of it even takes place underground arguably -- in the deep recesses of the subconscious where creativity has a vast and prominent influence.

This starts around October 27. (Yep. Two days ago) I emerge from that around the 15th of December every year, literally renewed as a person -- with different plans, different perspectives ... reborn -- and improved. Ready to hit the expansion prospects of Sagittarius -- my Rising Sign -- running.

It's happening for you, too

Somewhere, somehow this happens for you, too. With reasonably similar timing. If you'd like a bit of insight into this piece of your personal growth, talk to me. They've got this thing on Steemit called "Comments."

I can tell you some of what's going on with just your usual birth data stuff -- day, month and year. If you can give me time of day and place as well -- we can hit the bulls-eye. Interested? Then you know what to do.

Hmmmmm ...

I had different plans for this post -- but it kind of went in another direction. My Inner Writer sometimes has her own ideas about what to put out -- and I've learned when she takes hold of the wheel to just step back and go with it.

So, I'll publish this today -- and get busy on the post I intended to write. And it will all circle back and get finished -- eventually. In its own time. I have become so zen in my old age. Learn faster than I did, ok?

TTYL.

Thank you for stopping by!

If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.

Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.

If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.

One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.

Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.

break1.gif

Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.

This is who I am.

About the art in our visual essays ...

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.

The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.

Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.

So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.

The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.

I might me a bit late on this one @enchantedspirit - hopefully not.

There's so much I have to say to you and to thank you for. I haven't posted on Steemit for months now, but since I got here I've continued to visit your page to improve my knowledge of astrology to the point where I can actively use it as guidance for parts of my life - aside from the knowledge, your creative spirit and the way in which you write and structure your thoughts is really wonderful to take in - your writing has given me a lot so thank you thank you!

I actually tried sending you some Steem on 4 seperate occasions as thanks. The first couple were a few months ago, and I think the memo was too large so it didn't send, now when I try it says I don't have enough of one of Steem's new currencies which I'm not privy too; my messages were of thanks and appreciation of course, and I wanted to throw some Steem your way to show that.

In the messages which didn't send, I also asked if you felt creatively fulfilled here, and if you would be up for some collaboration, you always ask for comments on your posts and are open to discussions down here - I suppose I was feeling selfish and wanted a bit of collaborative spotlight on your page.

Would love for you to comment on what's going on with me, lately I feel quite liberated in the sense that I feel I'm always learning and a new professional relationship has come up where I feel much more supported in who I truly am. Transparency is leaking through all parts of my life, I am continuing to be honest and speak truthfully. I'm recently getting better with self-care (I think).

02 Oct 1994, 2:10PM, Perth, Western Australia - if you're around I'm happy for you to comment here or DM (though I didn't know Steem had DMs).

Thank you !

Hi, @carpet.duck ---> First of all, thank you for all this -- and especially for the STEEM ... which did make it through, I see. Bless you for your persistence. I'm sorry for being so long in getting back to you. I did see your comment here early on -- and it gave me a lot of reason to pause and think, about my own direction and future. I have mixed feelings about so many things, including my continuing involvement on Steemit. Your bright message of encouragement came at such an ironic moment. Srsly.

I think this morning (It's 8 AM where I am) I'm in a good enough spot emotionally that I can answer your comment -- and give some of the focus you're asking about. If I don't dive into the mess of this place right away, you should have something in a couple of hours.

Thank you for your interest -- and especially for your patience. I did go looking for you a couple of times over the past months, but as you said, you yourself seemed to have left ... possibly for reasons that are all too easy to understand. See you again here in a bit. I hope you're around enough to at least get this message. I'm not always so churlish as to leave people hanging like this. Getting through this time myself hasn't been easy.

Stay tuned.

The Steem I sent isn't accurate appreciation - it's my pleasure
No worries about the slow response - I did think I maybe put a bit too much in my comment, and was strongly considering removing my birthdata from it - hahaha
Pretty sure I'm happy about being part of the irony, it does make me really happy that I have provided something of value to you - very happy indeed. As I said, I've come back to Steemit over the last 5 months almost solely for you, and I'm extremely happy to see your responses. I accidentally read the middle one first and was pretty ecstatic. I took a photo of my setting and my face as I was reading, I had to take breaks because it was just really nice.

Going to get on replying to the comments below. Thank you thank you

I'm glad you found it. Thank you so much for your response.

Back to me for a minute. I just looked at my Tarot card of the day from my own website ---> which rendered this:

Today's Theme for Daily Life
Struggling with self-identity

This card is about feeling limited, frustrated, stymied, confused, and "not knowing who you really are any more."

To lose your sense of identity, your certainty of who you are and what you are about can be a frightening, disorienting crisis. It may play out wholly within yourself ... or between you and some antagonist or difficult situation in the outside world, something (or someone) whose feedback causes you to question very fundamental things about yourself.

This can range from something as basic as questioning your competence -- causing problems with your no-longer-solid self-confidence to questioning your basic human worth and virtue leaving you paralyzed with indecision and a deep loss of personal courage. Both impede your ability to show who you really are ... and be true to your nature in your attitudes and responses.

Getting past this time and regaining solid ground can be a challenge ... and you may face such a moment before long.

---> ----> ---> ---> ---> ---> --->

My God, does that say it? My webmaster husband built this contraption for our Premium Members that renders the most amazing readings. Sometimes I question the wisdom of turning him loose on his own.

Hahaha this is great - thank you for sharing.

What have I done to you??

Kidding of course. That's a nice feature, turn him loose if you haven't!

I welcome you back here or anywhere else so so so so so much - and I hope you'll write about whatever the heck you want, I'm very onboard with this, but I'm no rich investor so, you know.

I wonder what you're after. What does your ideal platform look like? What does your ideal connection to your audience look like?

First I need to talk about your inner writer. Sometimes mine knows where it's going and sometimes not so much. I just had an Adsactly post (published today in fact) that should have been out last week. I just didn't like where it went, and wrote it again. Much better the second time.

Introspection is a huge part of my life. I let some happen in the background, but I am an active participant in much of it.

So. July 24, 1951 7:06 AM Spokane Wa. Both of my birth certificates agree. I was adopted and didn't get the original until a couple of years ago...

I'd be very interested in what you have to say. And thanks.
