Sagittarius people have a lovely, light-hearted approach to life that fits nicely with their generally open-minded style. As a mutable sign (Sagittarius is the Mutable Fire Sign.), they know how to be flexible and roll with the punches when that is the best response to an unexpected turn of events or another bump in the road.

Sagittarians aren't fond of structure or schedules or anything that inhibits their independence. Freedom is essential to their happiness and state of mind. The freedom to function as they choose, play by their own standards and make adjustments to fit the demands of the moment -- these things all play important roles in their ability to function at all.
On the one hand, they may envy those with the self-discipline to set a daily agenda and live a well-organized and time-efficient life, but Sagittarius, down deep in his heart, knows that kind of life is not for him. When a new experience, opportunity or adventure beckons, Sagittarius needs to be able to answer the call. There is no shortage of excitement in his life -- and he wouldn't shut the door on that for anything.
Every new challenge is a chance to learn something new, teach someone something ... or just gather up another exciting story to tell the next time the conversation lags. This is one reason why Sagittarius is famously popular and easy to get along with. He knows Life is about "seizing the moment" -- and he is a master of that game.

A Prediction for the Coming Year
Long-term planning and setting up a succession of future goals are on the agenda this year. But no matter how fired up and ambitious you feel, taking action -- truly getting yourself in motion -- is another matter. First of all, you're not comfortable going it alone -- and if that's what Life has handed you as a situation to consider, you'll have to at least make some arrangements that better fit your present attitude.
You want the feeling of support that partnership provides, the belief that someone else is behind you in your efforts and that he has your back should you need help -- or if something goes wrong. You may spend a lot of time looking for this "other half" to collaborate in your ventures ... and when (if!) you find him, you may be constantly seeking advice, wanting to hear his opinion, "talking things over" and trying to sort through all your options.
It may keep a lot of your efforts trapped in the realm of ideas and daydreams... instead of action, because somehow, someone has to put the pedal to the metal and make things happen. Otherwise, everything groans to a stop, and goes nowhere -- assuming it ever got underway at all.
Even if you're not a Sagittarius ---> This theme is at work somewhere in your life -- affecting a very specific area of concern rather than "life in general." With Astrology, it's possible to know what's happening in your life and work with the prevailing energies to make the most of this special time and its opportunities.

What are your long-term goals for the year? Where would you like to be and what do want to have changed by this time next year?
Are your plans ones you can at least launch by yourself, or do you need help, advice, assistance, "connections," political pull or other outside help to get them off the ground and keep the momentum going?
Do you have partners, help, advisers, assistance, outside assets and resources you can call on when your efforts, knowledge, available time, etc., just aren't sufficient? Do you anticipate needing these? And if so, where do you plan to find them?

Everyone has Sagittarius energy operating somewhere in his life, influencing his character and attitudes and giving him the experiences that will develop his Sagittarius skills ... regardless of his actual Sun Sign. Astrologers and students of Astrology know this, but it's not common knowledge for most people.

Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.
