The arrival of the New Moon in Libra marks an official end to the focus on individual projects and concerns which consume the first half of every Zodiac year. Now, other people -- their presence, needs and resources -- become a greater part of our lives. We're now ready to take on relationships as a priority.
Teamwork and diplomacy become a greater part of life. Cooperative efforts are now valued over individual initiative. Libra's theme is about uniting with others ... forming alliances that help us be more and do more than is possible working alone.
Partners add to our reach, our power and our investment capital -- and that will become important when Scorpio arrives next month. For now, forming and solidifying the right kind of alliances is our main concern.

When the New Moon in Libra arrives, you become more interested in manners, courtesy, accommodation, group goals, and ventures that involve partners and allies. You want to make sure everyone's views are heard, all agendas treated fairly, and all the available options are discussed and evaluated.
For the more dynamic, independent signs, such "rule by committee" can seem like a tiring waste of time. Life's pace isn't nearly as fast ... and will continue to slow down from now until next Spring as other people and combined efforts take center stage in the strategies that progress requires now.
The New Moon in Libra marks the point at which everyone has individually done as much as he can alone in the creation of raw materials and efforts to achieve goals.
Now, we need partners -- people whose abilities and assets are different / better / stronger / more serviceable than ours and who can benefit from our resources that are different / better / stronger / more serviceable than what they have in hand.

As I said, this investment of personal wealth in communal endeavors will become more obvious with the arrival of Scorpio energy next month.
Right now though, we're setting up partnership arrangements, listening to feedback and other ideas, and refining our directions to not only include associates, but make what we're working to present more "popular," more attractive, more responsive to a multitude of interests and needs.
Almost always this time brings the prospect of new partnerships and the new arrangements these provide. Sometimes the very obvious "legal alliances" of marriage are the result of these collective needs.

But whether your emphasis centers now more on a "meeting of the minds" with others or on "sharing your life" with someone special ... you will no longer be centered on personal, individual, singular projects in the way you have been up to this point.
From here until the arrival of Pisces / Aries energy again next year, the general tone of life itself is more responsive than proactive, more supportive and encouraging than self-centered, and more concerned with the needs of your relationships and the people in them than on what you want for yourself alone.
It can truly offer a kinder, gentler way to live if you'll let it be ... that.

If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
