Before announcing our choises, I want to thank all the artists that joined the contest, and their amazing artworks! I managed a lot of art contests in the last months, and every time I saw great art from the community of artists on Steem!

No one joined for the Digital Art category, and that's weird. Usually I get more digital than "analogic" art. :) 

Anyway, since one category is missing, I increased the prize for the other category and added a 2nd place prize.

(We don't do this for the prizes, we all know it. It's a way to know and see other artists' work and start collaborating and supporting each other).

NOW, about the second subject from the title of this post...

As I said, there are many projects and contests about Art running on Steem. As I said before, it's time to go beyond, for artists on Steem. It's time to collaborate, not just to get a random reward from a post, but to use the decentralized community as a real network for Art. I am thinking about it. @arthuradamson and other are thinking about it too, and some projects are running.

The @sndbox project seems to go in the same direction. My Steemarket showcase would go in the same direction, as a service (I have to make it better, though). At Steemfest2, in Lisbon, a group of artists will meet together and I hope we will talk about that too (details about that are coming from @roelandp soon).

The SMT feature, recently announced, could be a tool to create a subcommunity too - even if a dedicated token would narrow a market that at the moment needs to be extended instead.

So, at the moment, I just want to take part in this brainstorming work, before trying a new project myself. And I'd like to read your opinions and ideas :)
