I Don't Normally Paint Awesome Landscapes
Today, I Thought I'd Do Something Random and Simply Name It Landscape
The idea for this piece started the other day when I opened my email. In a nutshell, the message was something like:
You're not funny, all you do is scribble, stop wasting your time, it's not art, blah blah blah, I'm a trolltard.
So
I started scribbling. Everywhere, in all directions, using a few of the different tools at my disposal. I thought red and black would be perfect. Those colors sometimes remind me of a troubled youth sitting behind a box of crayons.
Then
Things started to take shape. I don't normally describe or attempt to explain what I see in these odd images I produce, but it does come up from time to time.
I experiment a lot with a psychological phenomenon known as pareidolia. I've mentioned this before. It happens to us all. We're programmed to experience it. When you look up at the sky and see faces and animals in the clouds, you're experiencing the phenomenon. Often, I intentionally produce images that begin to reveal themselves the more someone stares. This gives many viewers a unique experience.
You probably didn't see the cave entrance in the middle. Maybe you missed the man sitting down near the lower left corner. There's a strong chance you don't want to see the many faces looking at you. I know it's all there because I've placed it there. Does it work for everyone? Probably not. For the most part though, I don't really want people to see what I see. I want them to see what they see.
Conclusion
Yup, just scribbles. No method to my madness. I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Thank you for taking the time to write to me, kind troll. I don't respond to these messages, but I would like to thank you for the inspiration. Maybe some day you'll find the courage to come speak to me. Until then, have fun being ugly within the shadow you cast. Your words will never bother me, but they will always bother you.

Well, I've seen some mighty fine scribbles out there. Thought it was about damn time I join the herd before I get left behind... whatever that means!
The man in the corner is having a serious sit. That booty is popped right out, lol. And he's a basketball player! That is a serious arm on him! In the righthand corner...have you ever seen the movie the Labyrinth with David Bowie? It's one of the creatures that can take off their heads and play catch with them like balls. Balls appear to be on my mind, lol!
Did I ever tell you that I love red? I think we might have that in common :)
To the troll turds: Get a life, you sad, sad people.
I can see a lot. The whole thing looked like a landscape to me on a larger screen, while standing further away. Trolls don't bother me, I bother them. I can create a duck and call it a chicken. I never cared about what people thought, but I do know people enjoy my stuff. I guess that's what keeps me around.
And now I have Jack's on my mind, ha!

That would require that I did 3 to 4 posts within a 7 day period, which just ain't happening right now.
I've done 19 plus three for a contest in 16 days. All with new art and words. Wondering who broke steemit while I was gone! This effort used to pay! LOL... going nuckin futs here!

Love this painting, those colors, great fusion and so marked with the dark side of soul and things, almost vampiric.
Thank you. You're free to experience it however you like. It is dark, I agree. Much of what I do is dark. The world can be a little too bright sometimes. I guess that's why I wear sunglasses.
I disagree about the dark...I see flowers..roses to be specific.
An interesting thing about flowers. They're given to people during dark times. I see a lot of nature in that image. Trees, rocks, mountains... even a stream. And now flowers.
I saw the waterfall first, then I could see the stream at the base of it. Which means that the old man (who I see as bent over with a walking stick) is walking in the stream. But who I am to say that old men with walking sticks can't still paddle in streams?
This is exactly why I enjoy working on pieces like this. I could do up a face or a dog, and everyone can see a face or a dog. It's way more fun connecting with minds on a subconscious level.
And fun for us too, to see what we see and how different it is to what others see.
I see a giant daisy above the cave entrance, but haven't spotted the roses yet.

Indeed. I was thinking of getting a pair that adds a few zeros to the rewards and views. Can't seem to find that style though.

They don't bother me. I like having them around. I don't need to be told how awesome I am just to get through a day. Of course there's people out there who don't like me and of course there are trolls. This is the internet. It's entertaining. I've been watching another meltdown occur here on Steemit. Always fun. I watch how friends never step in to talk them down from going crazy as well. You see a lot when you don't turn a blind eye.

I didn't do a highly entertaining piece today because I knew I wouldn't have time to be around to watch people go nuts. Just checking in now then heading back out to work on my bike. I plan on flying tomorrow, provided I can find a good enough ramp. Might be around later to check in on messages, I'll see how it goes.
