Nocturn Episode 6 - a Painting based Adventure Game for Steemit: "The Ghost of the Wine Cellar". 7 SBD in prizes

in #art7 years ago (edited)

Night falls. Is this real or did you just wake up in a dream? The story continues...

In short: I post a nocturnal, mysterious painting with an accompanying storyline. Within (+/-) 24 hours, anybody can choose one of 2 options on how the story continues: you can upvote an option or make a comment on what you would do. The most upvoted or commented option after (+/-) 24 hours of posting will determine the way the story continues and which painting I will post next. Have fun!

Read all about the what-why-who-when-rewards of this adventure game in the introduction.
Check out the first episode.
Check out the episode 2. Find episode 3 here. And here is episode 4.
Read episode 5.

Update: as I'm getting some votes and interaction in this game, I have (for now) set aside at least 7 SBD to be split among the most consistent upvoters/commenters. I love how this game has gotten some traction, and I feel like I can give away some SBD. Thank you! (And this amount may grow, haha, isn't Steemit awesome?)

Episode 5: "The Ghost of the Wine Cellar"

A quest is on! To find Laura's long lost picture before the night is over. Not wanting to immediately go higher up in the castle, you decide to delve for secrets underground (option 2 was chosen°).

As you hear a distant bell striking eleven times, you think to yourself: "Good, the night is still young, there's plenty of time" and slowly you descend the dusty, cobweb-riddled stairs - a good thing there's some lighting down here!

At the bottom of the staircase, there is only one way to go on: a long corridor stretches out before you and, when you check its niches, you find rows and rows of bottles of wine. Intrigued, you take a bottle and the label reads "Chateau Noctuidae, 1778". Now that's some vintage!

"Oi, that's my wine!"

You jolt and as you turn around you are face to face with a ghostly appearance. Your heart skips a beat or two as you stare at the otherworldy phantom.

"But you can have a sip if you want to!" The ghost (apparently having a drink himself) points to a cupboard with old, dusty glasses. "You'll find no other treasure here than these fine wines. And they are excellent, I've been roaming this place for hundreds of years. Go on, have a drink!"

Option 1: Accept the invitation and pour yourself a glass of wine.
Option 2: Politely refuse and continue to the other side.

Anybody can vote or comment, there is no way to die in this game, just a mysterious adventure to explore. Enjoy! (Some small) rewards for the most consistent upvoters/commenters. Read all you need to know in the introduction.

°Episode 5: option 1 did not get any votes. Option 2 was chosen by @deemarshall. Thank you!

Sort:

Voting is over, option 1 (pour yourself a glass of wine) was chosen. Writing Episode 8 now. General upvotes and/or comments still welcome, but won't have an effect on how the storiy continues now.

Option 1: Accept the invitation and pour yourself a glass of wine.

I hope it's white wine :)

It is now! Thanks for the vote :)

That's good, I was thinking you'd say it was red then it would turn out to be blood, yuk. White is safer :)

Hehe, nah, I want this game to be scary and mysterious and a bit fun, not gross. Although you give me ideas..

Option 2: Politely refuse and continue to the other side.
