1993? Wow... you've been working for a long time!

It certainly makes the mind work (perhaps because I started reading science fiction when I was 10?), was this a great structure that decayed, leaving only the arch... washed away by time and whatever flows in that eroded valley? Or is it guarding something? The mind works.... thanks for sharing!

Thank you @reddragonfly!
I don't really know what it is. I like the idea of unsolved mysteries...

right, another one. I just discovered you through a comment over on Reinhardt's page, and had the idea it would be worth coming over to check it out.

It was!

nice work and nice concept.

I love the comments when people see that there are artists who have been doing this for longer than six months.

I have been trying to always post texts too, as it has always been my short coming.
I haven't seen your other posts yet, but I see you only left the barebones of text here.

Strategy?
or overwhelm?

anyhow, will be seeing more of you and your work I hope.

big hugs

Thank you!
I'm not so much into writing long texts, it's not my thing. I believe words are overrated :-)

That's why we are painters :-)

yes, but that's why I for one am starving.
The internet is a words place.

I mean images come up very nice sometimes, but how many times have you sold a work without trying?

People usually make their decision before I can ruin the sale talking about the work ;-)

Think this was one of the first pieces I saw of you... or at least something similar. Had my first access to the internet back in 1994 and you were one of the first artists I saw there. Around the same time I first saw Siegfried Zademack's work. Would have never guessed back then, that eventually we'd all get to meet and become friends :-)

Yes, it's long time ago! We were among the first artists using the internet for showing our work to the world! I uploaded my fist website 20 years ago in 1997.

Remember, how every file had to have the smallest possible size? Pictures trimmed down to a few kb, so they would only take minutes to load, instead of hours! Boah, modems and being billed per seconds online.. not missing it at all ;-)

This chat reminds me that it's 20 years since I launched the fist version of my website! I just re-uploaded: http://gric.at/1997

OMG.. I remember how I envied you for the spinning sphere thingy... best viewed in Netscape lol :-D

Picking my Jaw up off the floor.....Again :)

Sorry about your jaw! :-)

After the suggestion of @leoplaw, I went through your work and wow! Your style is very singular. Your paintings are intense and disturbing, and always kind of soaked with mystery. Things that we appreciate over here at the Steemit Gallery of Art :)

I resteemed this one in the Gallery. The SGoA is a place to showcase and reward artists according to what the community likes the most. Find out more here, leave your feedback and support if you like the project :)

Ps Are you familiar with the work of the Polish Painter Zdzisław Beksiński? It came to my mind few times browsing your paintings .
Keep it up!

Thank you! I'll look at it!
Yes, I know Beksiński, he certainly is one of my favorite artists.

I finally included your artwork in the first exhibition of the SGoA. Come and have a look!

i didn't realize you were here on steemit. i've seen and admired your work on other social media sites but those occurrences have been sporadic at best. now i can follow you here and stay up-to-date. upvoted and resteemed

Thank you! I'm still not sure if Steemit is the real deal. What I don't like about it is the oligarchy-like whale structure of the network. Power multiplies, content is secondary...

agreed! the weighted whale structure leaves a pretty uneven playing field for beginners/minnows and favors large popular posters. it's hard to build up steem without buying it which strikes me as defeating the concept but hopefully for you the more people that see your work through resteems the more followers you'll get and that translates to more sp ;)

Very cool pic, lived up to the recommendation. Upvoted and followed you for more.

Thank you!

i liked this a lot.

Thank you!

Just stunning! acrylics are so hard to handle, even with the retarders or special mal gel. Definitley upvoted!

And again: Thank you!!
