Sketch for a new work, Who is are new little animal friend?
Here is a teaser sketch of a new piece I am working on.
Here is a bit more of the little fellow:
He is going to be part of a series of things I have done before, in my design work for things, that is fairly popular. I have not done a new piece in it for awhile but for a larger hint, here is another in that series.
That probably makes it a bit easier to guess at who my new little character is going to be.
I love a bit of humour and cheek sometimes and I really have fun with animal characters.
As well as taking breaks from my larger involved digital oil pieces in my Singularity series with black and white drawings, these little character designs are also a nice break. I suppose I just can't focus on one thing too intently, and I want to make sure my focus is on art daily, so to keep it varied, I work on a few series. It gives me just enough variety whilst still allowing me to be focused.
A corralled sort of chaos if you like.
They say variety is the spice of life, so for me variety is the 'spice of art making'.
Another busy day for me so I am making this a rather quick post so I can get back to the studio. However, I wanted to share the sketch thus far of this little guy.
I hope your day, if busy, still has moments to take a break and enjoy a good day dream. Or simply a zombie stare whilst holding a cup of coffee, it's all good for the soul.

That's cute! Probably going to understand what you were going for once it's finished, lol, I'm bad at guessing these things :D But I love Hairy Pawtter - you'd have to be an English native to be able to make that wordplay though :D
I actually got another idea for this same version chatting on a discord channel this morning. I wonder, if I type @soyrosa now, will you Endora to my comments? ;) I'm meant to be drawing but just a quick check in my studio computer before getting to work :)

Yes, I shouldn't have my internet on while I am drawing, but I do and yes you are a good little witch popping in at the drop of a hat @soyrosa :)
I tried the zombie stare with coffee just now, but I kept getting distracted by the clouds. Thanks for sharing your work; love it.

Have you thought of doing a series on Wind in the Willows?
In the early eighties, I did the stage scenes for an episode of it, called "Toad of Toad Hall" a series of ancestor portraits of Toad - my Alma Mater is still occasionally using these backdrops when they again perform it (Student Theater).
What is funny is our house is called "toad hall" after wind in the willows :)
I'm not sure how I'd do it, as I am taking human characters and making them animals, so not sure how I'd do those adorable characters. I loved those stories so much.

Well, the Wind in the Willows characters are human-like in their attributes. You just do your thing. Toad, as the stereotypical silly British Aristocrat is hilarious - I am also reminded of some characters Monty Python used to portray.

Oh I absolutely get what you mean with contained chaos routines haha, that pretty much describe most of my days, today I went exploring the city...with a sort of game sponsored by the culture department...which is visit most if not all public libraries and perform some challenges to earn a sticker....maybe I should make a post about this lol
I'm going to check that out and maybe schedule some time tomorrow to do it. I'm not sure how long they are running the contest/project.
