"La loca"
This is one of the paintings I did in the art book ( here I tell the story ).
Today I scanned some so here I post the first one. I paint the two sides of each page of the book, as can be seen. It is a painting by sheet but I paint something abstract on the back of each work, which combines with the next one.

You have definitely captured a crazy look on this lady. The red is more a blood red so I don't know if she is tearing at her face. She has piercing eyes as well which makes it more evil or crazy looking.
Maybe it's her blood or someone else's. I don't know.

Definitely looks crazy to me, @barbarabezina, but was she crazy before the act that stained her hands red, or did that happen after? :) Perhaps we'll never know.
I like how you're working, too, by painting one thing on side and than something abstract on the other to flow into the next spread. It's a great way to work and to tell the story.
Any idea how long this particular painting combination took? And did you have anyone or any event in particular in mind when you started to paint it? I'm always interested in how artists get their inspiration.

Thank you! I had an image in my mind but I usually paint spontaneously and without previous ideas. Although in the case of this book it has been quite different and particular. In some cases I used an image por something of what was in the original, - which has not been in this case. I haven't taken the time but I guess 30 minutes + or -

This is so good! I read your other post as well but I don't understand do you actually paint on pages of an art book? I've never seen anything like that before, if you do so that's so cool! :) Also, isn't the paper thin for acrylic paint? Or is it thick enough?

Have a good thickness and good quality but it isn't at all a good base for painting. As I said in that other post, what came out of me was to "recycle", put art where it didn't exist, make what the content of the book didn't achieve (in my opinion). And obviously it doesn't matter if the materials withstand the passage of time. It matters the intention and the fact of carrying it out, even if it lasts a day, a month or forever. All those things and more than perhaps I haven't commented make this more interesting, valuable and artistic.
Really disturbing representation.
It made me remember one loca I just saw a couple of days ago in Cumaná. She was hitting herself on the head. It was a miracle she did not knock herself out. She banged her head like she was hitting a piñata.
We have quite a lot of those here. No institutions to take care of them, help them in any way.
I have actually started to take pictures of them and want to draw some of them. Hopefully the muses will be with me.
That is the kind of state of mind (total insanity) that makes us reflect about the fragility of our existence.
