[Sketch with markers, draw a city] Part 9

I started another course on city sketching, this time the emphasis is on markers. The first posts on this topic can be read here:

I finished the block in blue tones, which means that I can sum up. In the last post I talked about buildings that are painted in the environment, but they are separate heroes. And today I propose to see how sketches with several heroes in the frame will look like.

First, look at the street in Venice (all the houses can be seen and they are not closed by the trees). This street is much easier for me to paint than the rest. There are only houses here (which have a rectangular shape). It's simple. I lay out the rhythm in blue, and then I detail it in black.

But this street was hard for me to draw. There are many plants that knock me down, and so many details! But I seem to have dealt with it! ...

So, why do we need a blue color? To simplify the application of shadows and add volume to the picture. All this can be done with shading, but then the picture will be heavy and it will take a long time. And in sketches time is the most important, because most of them are made on the go! No one will wait until you draw a landscape, if you went on a trip with friends or family)))

Well, how do you like the blue block? There was one more block left. It says about color. We will see)))
