Introduction

My first post here...

So excited but still a bit confused. But I will learn, give me just a little time to look around and I will learn:-)

Who am I?
I'm Linda Kerlund and I live in Sweden. I lived here all my life in a small town. Still I take part of the world online and offline, travelling.

My passion in life is making websites and systems easier to be used and easier to understand. And to create great User Experiences.

I began my work life working with pre-press and printing cards, ads and so on.
My next step was going digital and creating educational material, with flow charts, photos and text. Layout was my main responsibility at that time. I also made simple animations for education to help the understanding of complex technical issues.
Around 2005, I started to write content for educational material. The purpose was to write technical material with a pedagogic approach. I was a technical writer at that time. To know what to write, I made a task analysis to make sure we created the right education goals for the target group. I designed and wrote the educational material based on actual tasks in the target groups workplace.
Beginning of 2010 I started to work as a Project Manager for new education programs and educational material. I also was responsible for some IT-projects.
My passion for graphics, layout, usability and also to work with the target group in mind lead me to a higher education in Digital Design, which I enrolled in 2016. I have done my second year now and will have a bachelor degree next year.

My mission
I'm dedicated to help people that struggle with systems and websites that are difficult to use and understand. Too much time in workplaces and on free time is spent on finding out how to do things.
The back button is the most used feature of the internet. Many sites are hard to use and with really bad usability and also bad UX. I really like to change that. Simple to use but also attractive, is my goal. The best way to know if your site or system is easy to use is to do usability testing, UX-testing. Test things on people, get feedback and improve! I recently came across Crowdifyclub, an online community for tech startups and with the purpose to help smaller companies to get their word out and to get payed. The community helps each other with marketing and sharing content of high quality. I'm part of their team and my goal is to be actively help with usability for the site crowdifyclub.com and also to learn new things from the other people in the community. A win-win situation as I see it and I'm really excited to be a part of it.!
