ESTEEM8 - Project [Spot unhealthy flaggers and canalize flag-back]
Containing some primitive use of such a great tools like Steemit by some users.
In fact, there are users that seem to don't understand how to use Steem and are not enough mature to correctly use their voting power to votes and downvotes in a meaningful way.
Their will be more productive for them to burn their computer to heat up their house than use as as they use today.
Apparently some individuals in our species can not be trusted with modern tools. However, in contrary as a child with a hammer or an other tools that require a minimum of intelligence, we can not take theses tools back.
Theses non-mature use of theses tools, are a real threat to the Steem economy/value and system in general.
This is also a threat to third party application built on the top of Steem, such as Esteem8.
Because of their primitives comportment, user experience is reduced as well as our specie reputation and evolution.
Esteem8 has so taken a initiative to ensure that theses uses will non-longer be possible.
#1 Spot
This project will started to be developed immediately after the beta launch and is described as follow:
- First a page will be available on the Esteem8 APP to select a user and analyze it's incoming/outcoming downvotes.
- Then, downvotes could be sorted/filtered by content type based on repetitive keywords and/or repetitive users.
- Downvotes could be sorted/filtered by weight.
- In the second part of this project, a service will be lunched to automatically analyze abusive downvotes in the whole blockchain and display/report them.
#2 Report
- Then users will be able to report theses "abusives/unjustifieds" flags uses in a tag that will be filtered by votes number with a protection to ensure that "fake" votes are not counted.
*abusives/unjustifieds: also for a single post (maybe in a distinct tag).
*Fake: new account (without a minimal amount of post), more precisely all accounts that are not for a normal and personal use.
#3 Engage
- Then a bot will post daily results of theses in an other tags. (Other bot by other thirds party could also lunch an other algorithm)
- Users will be able to see who abusives flag who, what kind of content and also why with proofs and statistics.
#4 Canalize mass flag-back
Then community (all users subscribed to theses results and more) will be able flag-back.
Esteem8 will flag account's posts results voted by community.
A function will be available to flag a defined amount of post with a defined weight with a single click.

It seem to be nearly always the same frustrated group of account, it's very annoying for UX.
I don't know if they know that their comportment are counter-productive for Steem or if they do that intentionally.

I wrote a community encouragement post today, got 5 or more flags, with massive 10% flags/DV, by the TOP whales, - when 1% would have been fair..... it killed the rep score and payout, and I had a lot of time and thought into it but who cares, about encouraging content right that is then worth $1?
It was a failed experiment and these flags, with no start or end date, or announcement, are driving good people off here daily. Poorly thought out, at best.

Nothing like intimidation to welcome new users. I looked at other SM groups and found a bunch of whiners. At least here I get a warm Fuzzy feeling. At lease this group understands money and doesn't want it all taken away.
Votes info update
Some accounts didn't like a healthy initiative to spot abused use of downvotes by a trusted way. Is that desired and organized censorship ?

It seem that the exact same group of flaggers have commonly decided to downvote your post with the photos.
Apparently it's not only smooth but it's a group, they are organized and they flag at the same ratio in ~10 sec.
This is a serious issue for a censorship proof platform. They are stakeholder but with theses flags they apparently are getting the Steem lower than higher considering their buying.

Well, i'm asking why does the guardians (Steem holders) are not resolving this issue, they are intelligent and well understand the impact it has.

From 5 anonymous person, probably not, is the group largely wider than we think ? If the group does not simply limit to 5 well organized persons, who could be this group ? Why to do that without apparent reason and loose their money ?
