Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 30/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 30/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Like I said yesterday market movement should be slow until we come into the New Year. But of course last year around the same time there was in general more movement with Steem and yes I have to mention that "shocking moment" that while most of us were out celebrating Steem was actually skyrocketing to new levels. If you wondering about the probability of that happening this time around sorry to disappoint but its very low that something like that would happen but one can only hope lol. Anyway it was surprising to yesterday still see Steem reach $0.28 unfortunately at that point it took a dip, things got quiet until around ⏰04.20 with its first upbump which took it from $0.26 to $0.27 where it spent the rest of the day. A few buyers mentioned trying to buy with SBD's but not seeing much difference in just buying Steem, hmm well maybe a I missed the boat somewhere but found this to be true. Experts believe that the Bitcoin downfall as come to its end and so far this might be the case, the lowest we saw Bitcoin was at $3194 and that was on the 15th if we look at our 2nd lowest drop it was $3587 which was on the 27th. Well at these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards causing "Steem INC" a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a meeting and the conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially nodes running cheaper among some other strategies which will still take time to implement. The good news 👍 is with the recent development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it through the bear market, and while this is a great relieve we still need to actually do it and survive. Steemit INC said that they are well on track to delivering the cost reductions and moving forwards with Light SMT's. Realising some of their improvements Ned said the priority is to work on the Steem network's fundamentals like RocksDB and SMT's are the main focus. SBD started by following the Steem pattern by also falling yesterday around ⏰23.45 and then recovering around ⏰04.25 which took it to $0.72 from there things got a little more bumpy as it fell again but then rised to $0.73, it now continues to stay above $0.70 at $0.72 which is good.
