Daily Steem Price Update 25/12/2018
Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 25/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.
I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.
But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 25/12/2018
Should you be trading with Steem today..
MERRY CHRISTMAS dear Steemians so the steem price as gone down today but that's no surprise it's Christmas and most aren't paying any attention so it's no surprise and shouldn't mean much. Saying that it's also no surprise to see a drop after Bitcoin having a downwave yesterday starting from ⏰15.00 and that as continued today it stopped around ⏰03.55 the drop as taken Bitcoin from $4213 to $3706, while I totally expected this to happen I was surprised it was left so late. Yup loads was taken out during Christmas Eve we saw Steem go from $0.31 quickly down to $0.28 seems many had the same idea for those last minute things. Tomorrow we should start seeing a little more movement to give us a clue to where we maybe going next, but still expect things to be slowish. So did the Bitcoin uptrend fall? Actually no not yet we are still trending upwards but just about. This brings hope to buyers that after tomorrow they can snag some cheap Steem as most will still be too busy, perhaps another opportunity before riding the Bitcoin wave? Experts believe that the downfall as come to its end or we are literally at it's bottom they say we should not see Bitcoin go any lower than $2900. Well at these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downwards causing "Steem INC" a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a open meeting. The conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially getting nodes running cheaper among some other strategies which will still take time to implement. The good news 👍 is with the recent development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it through the bear market, and while this is a great relieve we still need to actually do it and survive. Steemit INC assured us that they are well on track to delivering the cost reductions for Steem nodes and moving forwards with Light SMT's. Already realising some of their improvements Ned said that the priority to work on the Steem network's fundamentals such as RocksDB and SMT's is now more of the main focus. Also Steemit is in the number #1 position on stateofthedapps.com a not for profit website directory of decentralized applications on the Ethereum Blockchain used to categorise and showcase projects. SBD was doing really well but its no surprise to also see it go down with the others we last saw SBD at $0.74 before the drop which is pretty good considering how low Steem as been, SBD with it's first down-bump landed on $0.70 but also fell to its lowest at ⏰19.55 to $0.66.

personally, i think unless some big technology comes up that solves scalability AND privacy this nuclear winter might last.
but i see things like lightning networks and others that might shine light on the entire crypto industry. so who knows. i also see articles saying bitcoin is dead. it means we might be close to the bottom. just like when news say bitcoin is headed for the moon, the bubble pops.

Interesting Bitcoin does seem to be slowly going upward at the moment and I think because more people have been buying into Steem due to it's low price it is slowly getting stronger, if something doesn't come up I still think Steem will be successful it will just take along-time. If Bitcoin does die I just hope the money goes into another crypto like Steem, thank you @roundbeargames Merry Christmas!!
