My travel to island Vis - all aboard the ferry!

It's summer of 2017. Me an my girl @avissa are off to the island Vis in the Adriatic Sea, Croatia. It's been a long time since I spent a summer on an island so this was exciting to say the least.

Vis is far out in the Adriatic and the ferry ride takes about 3 hours from the city Split. Yikes, hopefully I don't experience sea sickness since I don't boat often... let's do this. Ahoy and all aboard!

Pretty nice view of Split from the ferry, and lemme tell you... that's one very busy city, the traffic around the port was insane. Oh well, goodbye Split and off to more peaceful lands.

Check out those awesome looking mountains. Honestly not sure if this is still part of Split but in any case it looks majestic under these clouds.

I'm fascinated by these small pieces of land, it's like someone just plopped them randomly across the sea. Oh and a rainbow, lucky!

The weather was actually more and more wild as the ferry ride went on. Lots of big waves and frequent showers. Most passengers seemed annoyed but I was happy like a kid with new toys. Bad weather means more clouds and epic shots!

Here's a ferry coming from the opposite direction. Looks like it's running from the upcoming storms.

You thought I was joking when I said epic shots? Check out these bad ass cloud formations!

Whoah look at this isolated lighthouse. Imagine working there. Though I guess it's fully automated and not like the one from the first Harry Potter movie 😂

@avissa and me found the best way to avoid sea sickness from waves rocking the ferry was actually being outside and enjoying oceanic splendor

We've almost reached our destination but I just can't stop admiring these wonderful clouds. Did I mention I love clouds? 😂

And... here we are, island Vis and the town Vis where we'll be staying.

Actually let me skip the timeline a bit (🤡) and show you how the town Vis looks from a higher perspective (took this a few days later)

As we settled in the sun already started to fall and gave me this wonderful image.

And with that I conclude the introduction of my trip to Vis. Hope you liked it. It's a long way from Zagreb but is IMO worth the experience. Hey I was already satisfied by the open ocean and beautiful clouds!
