13 Ways to Change your Sedentary lifestyle
Our way of life is significantly different from our ancestors one. However, we are not to blame here. A working day lasts from 9 AM to 17 PM and, despite modern technology, it seems we are even more busy than previous generations.
Below I offer you a list of tricks, including some activity in daily life. This is especially important for those who lead sedentary way of life.
1. Park not so close
Unconsciously, we choose shops, parking, schools, kindergartens, as close as possible to our home. And when we go to the store, we are sure to choose a place as close to the entrance as possible. Is not it? Well, why not putting a car away from the entrance and walk a little? Next time, do so.
2. Climb the stairs rather than use elevator
If you need a second or third floor, climb the stairs. If you need to overcome several floors, you can use an elevator, and then stop and walk to necessary floor. Gradually, you can increase the number of floors for going up and downstairs.
3. If possible, go to work on foot or on a bike
This option is not suitable for everyone, but if your office is located not far from home, you can walk.
4. Do not drive to your stop
If you often go by bus, try not to reach your destination (a house or shop), leave a couple of stops. Come out of the bus one or two stops earlier and walk on foot.
5. Maximize benefits from shopping
When you go to the grocery store, make a round of it. Avoid places where they sell junk food. This tip does not suit those who have problems with costs.
6. Take breaks at work to walk
Again, it depends on your place of work and its specificity. If there is a park close to your work, why not walking there in the middle of the day for twenty minutes?
7. Do work at home alone
Rather than hiring a boy from a neighboring street, mow a lawn by yourself. You will both save money, and use an excellent option for exercise. The same applies to the rest of house matters.
8. Play with your children
Today’s children will better play video games than outdoors. (Although some video games require good physical activity). Go in the park with the children, play ball or invent some games.
9. While watching TV, walk and do exercises
During advertising do not click channels in search of something interesting. Better walk, do physical exercises. If your house has stairs, walk up and down it.
10. Better to meet than call
If you need to talk with a colleague, who is close to you, go and talk to him live - this is better than talking on the phone.
11. Walk while talking on the phone
If your work requires a huge number of phone conversations, you’d better walk, rather than sit at the table. Make this a habit - walking during a telephone conversation. Movement creates emotions that might help you in business.
12. Choose active meeting rather than passive
Instead of watching a movie, offer friends playing tennis, soccer or volleyball. Instead of usual video games, play Wii. Instead of meeting over a cup of coffee, offer them an evening stroll.
13. Choose active rest
When planning a vacation, choose walking and tourism. When going in a new city, walk there, rather than going by car. If you play golf, do not take golfcar. Try new kinds of active fun at the resort. But do not forget about safety.

🙂PS. By the way, some scientists believe that all this will not be enough. Problems cannot be avoided, if not abandon traditional written or computer table. You need a table for working while standing.
