Why Does Family Bonding & Sharing Of Values Sometimes Depend On The Possession Of Material Things?
I look at the phenomenon in most African setting and i discovered that most people who have distant relatives hardly knows, recognises or reckons with one another, truth is sometimes money is that glue that attaches most familial relationship in some African society. for example in the society where I come from, your value or importance or worth isn't determined by your wisdom or your age but how you can impact a sitting with money. In fact impacting the surrounding with the material things you possess often buys you a higher voice than other people and sometimes when you don't hold this financial sophistication your voice is often considered useless and sometimes most family members who are distant do not want to relate with you because they feel that the only value you should be able to offer should be monetary value and when you can't, they feel there is no reason to recognise you or reckon with you. In this video I talk about this really disturbing phenomenon in most African Societies.
