Seoul Lantern Festival
The Seoul Lantern Festival is a dazzling event held annually in the South Korean capital. The festival takes place in November and December, and it features a spectacular display of colorful lanterns that light up the city's downtown area.
The festival has been held since 2009 and has become one of the most popular cultural events in Korea. The lanterns are made by skilled craftsmen and feature a wide range of designs, from traditional Korean motifs to contemporary themes. The lanterns are displayed along the Cheonggyecheon Stream, a waterway that runs through the heart of downtown Seoul.
The festival also features various cultural events, including traditional performances, street food vendors, and art exhibitions. Visitors can enjoy traditional Korean dance and music performances, sample delicious street food, and take in the beautiful lanterns that adorn the stream.
The highlight of the festival is the lighting ceremony, where the lanterns are illuminated for the first time. The ceremony is accompanied by music and dance performances and attracts large crowds of visitors.

(Beginning on the Friday of the first week of November, the two-week celebration drapes downtown Seoul in glistening lights, dazzling the city at night in the early winter. From Cheonggye Square to Supyo Bridge, visitors may see a variety of lanterns (1.2 kilometers).
