How to love God
Child of God, the Bible clearly tells us who to love: God first and the things of God. “In that I command thee this day to love thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep his statutes and His judgements, that thou mayest live and multiply; and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it” (Deuteronomy 30:16).
How to love God:
Worship God joyfully. “Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee” (Psalms 5:11)
Obey God’s word willingly. “Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God and keep his charge and his statutes” (Deuteronomy 11:1).
Fellowship and serve in God’s house excitedly. “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love which ye have shewed toward his name in that ye have ministered…” (Hebrews 6:10).
Give to God and His work bountifully. “And Solomon loved the Lord ... and went to Gibeon to .... sacrifice a thousand burnt offerings ... upon that altar” (1 Kings 3:3-4).
Beloved, walking in love is a command not a suggestion. Love God, obey His words, serve Him excitedly and give to His work bountifully.
