Ecotrain Question Of The Week: What was one of the happiest times in your life and what made is special?

in #ecotrain6 years ago (edited)

Welcome to the question of the week, and this week we look at happiness! Everyone remembers their most happy moments in life, but sometimes we forget to think about them, especially when we are struggling or facing challenges. So this week we have all taken a trip down memory lane to remember what made US the happiest we have been in our lives! This week we have a great set of answers to this question from our passengers, and interestingly all quite different! I wonder what makes you happy! Please share with us in the comments and maybe you can remember to do more of the same!

If you would like to post on this question of the week please tag 'ecotrain' and use the same title. I will spot your post and usually send a few up-votes your way from myself and the ecotrain voting bot community support initiative. We love it when you take part and I am happy to incentify you as much as I can! Finally, as always. don't forget to follow the people you like, i often do, so you can see more of what you like in your feed!

Life is a song - sing it.
Life is a game - play it.
Life is a challenge - meet it.
Life is a dream - realize it.
Life is a sacrifice - offer it.
Life is love - enjoy it.

This @ecotrain question of the week has all of us headed for the way back machine. It's also a great opportunity to shift focus away from all the chaos that has been happening. If we want to create a beautiful and joyful life, it definitely helps to focus on beautiful things that bring us joy. Having a touchstone, particularly an emotional touchstone, is probably more helpful than just about anything else in creating the life we want.

Sometimes I do loose interpretations of these questions, but I wanted to be more precise with this one. So, while there's no doubt the days my four children were born were my happiest days, all of those times were pretty challenging. Mostly because I just seem to have horrible taste in men. I decided I wanted to focus on a span of time where I was happy most of the time. Many of you know my first trip to Belize was one of those, but I've talked a lot about that. So, I want to talk about a different time.

When I read the question first, I knew this would be one of the easiest questions to answer for me and I got quite exited about it. It is also a welcome change from all the seriousness and heavy stuff a lot of the @ecotrain passengers seem to have been going through. Most of the people who read my blog regularly, know I am a mother of four and it would be the logical thing to write about my children and my life with them as being the happiest time of my life. However, I am not always the most logical person and since the question was 'one of the' happiest times, I'd like to share something different. Not that my children don't make me happy, they do, but it is also a lot of work to be the single mother of 4 and even though they give me a lot of joy and we have a lot of fun together, there are also very tough times. It's harder than I ever thought it would be before I ever had kids and therefore I would like to write about a time when I didn't have so much to worry about. A more carefree life so-to-speak. A time when I felt truly free, more than ever before or after.

I really enjoyed floating through happy memories as I contemplated the ecotrain question of the week.

As I sat and pondered how I would answer this question I started thinking about those times when I've reached that moment of fulfilling a desire, affixing a piece in the puzzle of my life and moving closer to my life's purpose.

My life right now is the happiest I have ever been but so many moments have woven together to make it so. Honestly the very first thing that came to mind was Mischa, my beloved friend, companion and canine.

Ours is a story about pure love, and two souls meeting to help one another where they need it most.

Ahhh happiness! I welcome a chance to remember a time when I was most happy in my life, and recall what made it special! I do have a few of those special times to choose from, ranging from my younger days of none stop fun with amazing friends to my more enlightening and inner experiences. Since this question of the week is about happiness and not bliss I am going to choose one Very special time that lasted for a few months when I can say hand on heart that it was one of the most special and happy times of my life. It was so special in fact that to make sure I never forgot that I was so happy, and indeed WHy I was so happy that I pierced my own nose and wear this nose stud until today!

When I first visited India in 1996 I had No idea what I was in store for me. I was 22 years old and had just finally left the education system completely after graduating from a 5 year stint in University studying Biology. Being a scientist in a lab for the rest of my life was not something that interested me, and as soon as I had launched my graduation hat into the air I found myself relishing my new found freedom and beginning of my real adult life.

Good morning beautiful humans!

I recorded this while I was still out at my retreat this weekend, but that was right about the end of the digital time that I spent, so I'm just putting it up now. For those of you who aren't familiar with the @ecotrain, it's a great community project started by @eco-alex to support all kinds of awesome Steemians! One the things the #ecotrain does is run a "Question of the Week", which I've just recently started answering myself :-)

This EcoTrain Question Of The Week couldn't have come at a better time for me, I am going through a huge transition in my life at the moment and it has been quite the roller coaster, you can probably tell that by some of the posts I have written as of late.

So it is really good for me to remember and reflect upon some of the happiest times in my life. For a few days there though, I really thought I that I would not be able to write this as I was feeling quiet sad and overwhelmed, but this is actually the best time for me to write, so I began going through my memories and girl do I feel lucky for all my life has given me so far.

So many things came into my head, places I have travelled to, cultures I have had the honour of experiencing, so many amazing and wonderful people I have met. My first time being in the jungle, that was, so amazing for me, I was overcome with awe by the sounds, the sights and the energy that surrounded me and I thought there for a minute that I would write about that. My first time in Mexico. But no, I am not going to share that experience just yet, not today, not in this post.

The Ecotrain Happiness

This is quite exciting as I take my first EcoTrain Question of the Week with my new account. I am really excited answering this question and I sincerely find happiness in writing. However, I think being a passenger of @ecotrain increases my happiness and reading other passengers writings takes the happiness to another greater level. The #ecotrain happiness increases with increase in interaction and support between passengers and it just seems to get better every day.

What is happiness and what does happiness mean to me?

In psychology, happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being which can be defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.Wikipedia

I think happiness is unexplainable feeling. That moment when your heart beats faster and you feel like you can fly or that moment when tears of joy run down your cheek. It's that moment of smiles and laughter. It's the feeling of satisfaction, appreciation of life and nature, moments of pleasure, but overall it has to do with the positive experience of emotions. I also think happiness is being able to afford for life’s basic necessities and live in a sustainable environment.

@zen-art

The question of happiness was always an interesting subject to me. What makes us happy, truly happy? For those of you who have kids, I am sure you will say how they are your happiness. Maybe you who are married will say how that day was the happiest in your life. Was it the first day you spent the night in your new house? I have not experienced those big changing moments that stick with you for the rest of your life but I did have my share of happy moments, and honestly, it is not that hard to pick my favorites.

Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. My country has a bird shape and Istria county is the head. Maybe that has something to do with the smartest people living there and maybe it is something else but the fact remains, if you want the best people in Croatia, go to Istria. To get to Istria, you have to pass Učka mountain, over or through it, and whenever I go through that tunnel and exit it on the Istria side, I get a feeling of being home. Istria was always like a magnet to me, pulling me to it, calling me and welcoming.

This is the most open-minded county in Croatia, always has been. People there do not care about your religion, skin color, sex preferences or gender. They treat you as what you are, a human being. People in Istria are not obsessed with past but turned toward the future and politically, they were always left oriented with no fanaticism at all.
